It’s a confronting task for anyone – distilling who you are /what you do / what inspires you into the confines of 1500 well-considered keystrokes. This task is even more challenging when you are a visual artist, when you are accustomed to having your work speak for itself. Having said this, when it comes to wedding photography, connection is everything, and so, in the spirit of connection, a little about myself…

My name is Cam Grove. I have been documenting weddings under my own name for almost 10 years, however, as of the beginning of 2019 I’ve rebranded and now shoot under Anchor & Hope. Why the change? Well, I guess I’d have to say that it’s about both artistic evolution and considered reinvention; the continuation of an old journey and also the commencement of a new one. I’ve retained the unobtrusive approach and reportage style that has always defined my work. And at the same time, I’ve created a fresh aesthetic for myself, a place where both the documentary and Fine Art elements of my work sit together in perfect harmony.

Now they’re some pretty words, but what does it mean for you? It means you receive a service founded on experience and kept relevant by the times. I’m still mad for the moment, chasing the transient, capturing those gold dust shards of magic, rendering them eternal before they can transpire and disappear back into the ether. I don’t create memories, they must first reside in you. I create windows to those memories, beautiful portals a day past.
