I opened Leah S Designs in 2001 with a simple goal: to help you feel beautiful, comfortable and completely your self in your wedding dress.
More than 25 years later, I still love being part of that special moment when a bride finds the dress that makes everything suddenly feel real. Together with my wonderful team, I’ve created a relaxed and welcoming bridal boutique where you can take your time, be listened to and enjoy the experience without pressure.

At my Hallam showroom in Melbourne’s south-east, I offer an inclusive collection of wedding dresses in sizes 6 to 28, with most bridal styles under $3,000. My gowns range from timeless and romantic to modern, colourful and welllll some times a little unexpected. I not only design our own Leah S bridal collection, but the patterns that include the signature Magic Corset, created with 19 pieces of boning for beautiful support and shape.

I believe the perfect dress should work for your body, your personality and your wedding—not the other way around. With experienced bridal stylists, on-site alterations and honest advice, we’re here to make finding your dress feel exciting rather than overwhelming.

What sizes of wedding dresses are in store to try on?

We carry an impressive bridal collection with a range of silhouettes, styles and sizes in-store to try on, from size 6 to 28.

Our bridal showroom has the entire Plus Size Perfection collection in sizes 16 to 32, and we’re the only Melbourne bridal shop stocking the entire Leah S Designs bridal collection in sizes 6 to 16.

Do I need to make an appointment?

We recommend booking ahead so a consultant can be dedicated just to you. Booking an appointment is easy – just book on our home page!

Appointments run for about an hour, giving you time to try on a variety of styles, from fitted mermaids and A-lines to ballgowns and boho looks. Our consultants will guide you with helpful advice to make the process fun and stress-free.

For Saturdays, we suggest bringing no more than 2–3 guests, as too many opinions can make choosing harder. If you’d like to bring more, we’ll happily arrange a weekday appointment.

How much do your wedding dresses cost?

The average price of gowns in our Melbourne showroom ranges between $1,300.00 for a simple style to $3,500 for an elaborate design. We do have sale options available priced between $599 to $1200.

How long does it take to order a dress?

The perfect time to start is 6–9 months before your wedding date. This gives you plenty of time to find your dream dress, place your order and allow alterations to begin, so everything is ready and stress-free for your big day! Of course, if you have less time, you’re welcome to purchase off the rack.

How do I pay for my wedding dress?

To place an order we require a 30% deposit of the dress price. We offer a four month lay-by period in which you can make regular payments.
