A Tactile Perception

A Tactile Perception

A Tactile Perception represents that totally touchable experience you have when you open that coloured envelope and run your hands over the luxurious textured card stock.

I’m Natalie and I create vibrant and intriguing designs to inject colour and personality into your wedding stationery. I absolutely love getting to know you and what you want your invitations to convey, so that I can use my creativity and the best quality papers to express the vibe of your wedding. Choosing your stationery is easy – choose from Classic Designs, Creative Designs, or Custom Designs.

Think outside the box when it comes to your stationery – explore hand-painted invitations, textured and coloured card, place cards in different shapes, or an escort card display. This is such a special day, and the little details matter. I offer all the stationery and signage you need, which means that each element is consistent across the day.

Great communication is so important to me, and I pride myself on working with you and keeping you updated every step of the way. I also offer a range of eco-friendly options, and don’t offer acrylic so that we can keep your wedding free of single-use plastics.

You know that your wedding invitations are more than just a piece of paper. Your wedding invitations represent the first impression of your most special day, and become a treasured keepsake long after the wedding is over.

FAQ

How early should I inquire and book wedding invitations?

Creating custom wedding invitations takes time, and I would recommend inquiring between 9 to 12 months out from your wedding date. You will want to leave a few months to design and create your wedding stationery, to then send them out about 3-4 months before the wedding. But you don’t want your favourite designer to be booked out, so the earlier the better!

If you would like to send out save the date cards, inquire about 16 months before the wedding, to send them out 12 months before.

What does the process of creating wedding invitations involve?

Once you’re booked in, I schedule our project for the right time. Then when the design process begins, we co-create your wedding invitation design, based on your moodboard or inspiration images, and your colour palette. I send digital mockup designs for you to provide feedback on, and you get 2 rounds of revisions for set designs, and 10 rounds of revisions for full custom designs. You can then provide me with your final wording, and everything gets approved and goes to print. Once I hand-assemble everything, I post them off to you and you get that fantastic unboxing experience!

Is there a minimum spend for wedding invitations and stationery?

Yes, the minimum spend is $600 AUD, although many couples spend between $1.5K and $3.5K, depending on the design and how many guests they have. This price range includes both wedding invitations and all the on-the-day stationery and wedding signage you might need.

Do you offer wedding signage, digital invitations or other on-the-day stationery?

I offer any wedding stationery and wedding signage items that you might need. It’s best to have the same designer create all your stationery and signage, to ensure consistency across the whole event.

I don’t offer digital invitations, but many couples will decide on online RSVPs, and we can place the web address or a QR code on your paper invitations. If you are able to upload custom elements to your site, I can provide you with digital items in addition to your paper invitations. For example, if I design an illustration for your stationery, you may receive the digital file to place on your site.

What's the best way to include eco-friendly items into our wedding invitations and stationery?

There are quite a few tips I recommend if you are eco-conscious.

First, choose recycled paper or paper made from other materials such as grass. Recycled paper has the same luxurious finish (and sometimes a much better texture) that non-recycled paper.

Second, save on separate items for place cards and menus by placing the guest name on the menu.

Third, avoid any single-use plastic, such as acrylic. Smaller signs can be made with the same premium card as your invitations, or eco-friendly board, and I create larger signs with an aluminium product that has a rubber core.

The final finish is just as good, if not better. These small choices can make a big difference when creating eco-friendly wedding invitations and stationery.

Do you work with LGBTIQA+ couples?

Of course. (I hope this doesn’t need to be asked anymore!) Diversity and inclusion is important to me, and I strive to make every single couple feel valued and accepted.

What is the difference between the packages, like the set designs and the full custom designs?

I offer three tiers of packages for wedding invitations.

The first is the Classic Package, which are set designs, and you change the wording and the colour of the papers.

The second is the Creative Package. These are also set designs where you can change the wording and colours, but they have a hand-crafted element like painting or a wax seal.

The third option is the Custom Package. This is a full custom wedding invitation design – it expresses your unique personality as a couple. We’ll go on a journey and explore the love story you want to tell. Meaningful details, little easter eggs; the process is almost as wonderful as the final special pieces.
