Samantha Heather Photography

HEY! I’m Sam, a queer, bi-racial wedding photographer based in Sydney’s Inner West, documenting love in all its beautiful, expansive forms. With over a decade behind the camera, photography has become more than my job; it’s the lens through which I see the world.

I’m passionate about creating space where every couple feels fully seen and celebrated. Your love doesn’t need to fit a mould to be worthy of big joy. Whether you’re loud and colourful or soft and sentimental, traditional or rewriting the rules, I’m here to capture your story honestly and artfully. All bodies, cultures, faiths, sexualities and genders are welcome here. Always.

Outside of weddings, I’m raising a gorgeous little human, drinking too much good coffee, exploring nature whenever I can, and saying yes to dance floors without hesitation. I’m deeply curious about people and their stories, and I bring that warmth and openness into every celebration I photograph.

If you’re after images that feel like you, vibrant, heartfelt, and full of life, I’d love to be part of your day.

FAQ

Do you welcome LGBTQI+ couples?

1000000% yes! As a queer person myself, I want to capture colourful and joyous LGBTQI+ weddings, couples and their families to celebrate the beautiful love we share.

How would you describe your style?

My overall style is joyful, natural, romantic, and fun! From the heartfelt glances to the laughter-filled embraces, I strive to capture genuine moments through natural wedding photography that reflect the true essence of you and your loved ones that you will look back on and treasure forever.

Do you shoot 35mm Film?

Absolutely! I love 35mm film photography and its beautiful, nostalgic vibe.

Do you offer portrait sessions for other milestones or groups of people?

Definitely. I love celebrating all milestones with all people. Whether you’re lovers, or just platonic friends, I offer portrait sessions for all. It could be an engagement photography session, an anniversary session, or a β€˜just because’ session.

Where are you based?

I am based in the Inner West of Sydney, Gadigal Land.

However, I’ve photographed weddings across Australia and around the globe and love when I get the opportunity to travel. I charge for flights and accommodation but will happily stay with your grandma if she has a spare room (seriously, I’ve done this before).

Do you offer prints and albums?

Sure do! They are fine-art wedding albums made with the best quality fabrics and papers and are all custom made for each client. Let me know if you’re interested and I can send you more information!
