The Temple ethos draws on a deep appreciation of ancient craft, archetypal symbology and contemporary design. Together, these influences create modern heirlooms that transcend both time and trend.

In our Byron Bay studio, we design and meticulously handcraft our engagement rings and wedding bands. Each piece, an heirloom of devotion and symbol of everlasting love… destined to be treasured for a lifetime and beyond.

At Temple of the Sun, ethical practices are paramount. We personally source rare and exquisite gemstones locally in Australia to set in our engagement jewellery, supporting our community and ensuring their provenance. We also offer conflict-free natural diamonds alongside lab-grown diamonds, giving couples an ethical alternative while contributing to a more sustainable future.

We invite you to join us on this remarkable journey, where ancient craft converges with contemporary design. Together, we weave stories of love, connection and beauty. Our creations celebrate the rich tapestry of the past while looking towards a shared future.

FAQ

Do you offer custom-designed or bespoke rings?

Yes. We do offer a bespoke jewellery service, allowing you to work with our design team to create a unique custom ring or piece that reflects your story and style.

How long does the custom ring process typically take?

Our bespoke jewellery process typically takes 6–8 weeks from your initial consultation through to completion. If you have a proposal or wedding date in mind, we recommend getting in touch early so we can accommodate your timeline.

What materials do you work with?

We take great care to ethically source our materials, creating jewellery that is not only beautiful but also nurtures powerful sentimental connections. Our demi-fine collection of sterling silver and 18K gold vermeil jewellery is consciously crafted in a closed-loop production cycle, in our accredited Thailand studio.

All solid 9K, 14K and 18K gold pieces made in our Byron Bay studio are ethically sourced and accredited by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC). Our supplier is able to trace the entire life cycle of the gold from primary refining in conflict-free areas to the processing of the material.

For stones, we use process certified natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds or conflict-free natural gemstones, sourced locally in Australia wherever possible.

What makes your jewellery approach unique?

Our design ethos is rooted in a profound appreciation for ancient craftsmanship, archetypal symbolism, and contemporary design, translating into modern ancient heirlooms that transcend time and trend. Our commitment to crafting with integrity lies at the core of Temple’s founding principles, reflecting a deep reverence for the natural world and its finite resources.
