Saying “I do” at the stunning Mewburn Park Homestead, Emily and Liam opted for an Amalfi Coast-inspired celebration – “Limoncello Spritz on arrival, an oyster bar, butter yellow bridesmaid dresses, flowers with pops of blue, and cannolis instead of a cake to top it all off”.
To bring it all together, they enlisted a red-hot team – their wedding was planned and styled by Sam at Forethought Weddings, “who made everything stress-free”; Emily found her ‘fit at Grace Loves Lace, Julia and Adam from Mewburn Park made sure the celebration was super special, plus it was all beautifully captured by the uber-talented Samantha Elizabeth.
THE VENUE “Mewburn Park had always been a venue I loved. We thought about having our day at Liam’s parent’s house on their property, but after going out to Mewburn Park, meeting with Julia and Adam, our decision was easy! The venue is beautiful!”
FAVE DETAILS “Our florist Pepperberry Flora captured our vision perfectly. My bouquet was beautiful and each bridesmaid had a different type of flower, all of which featured in my bouquet as well. Sam from Forethought Weddings also did an amazing job. I was able to let go the morning of the wedding, hand all the bits and pieces over to the team and they absolutely nailed it!”
THE DRESS “My dress was from Grace Loves Lace, I had my eye on it from the moment we got engaged (if not before), so their boutique in South Melbourne was the first place I went and looked. It was the first dress I tried on. I tried on a couple more, but I just kept going back to the first one. The girls at the boutique were so helpful. It was meant to be from the beginning.”
REFERENCES “A lot of the vendors I already had in mind before we started planning our day. I had seen their work on Instagram, or on Mewburn Park’s page (as I had followed them for some time already). And we found Sam from Forethought Weddings on Hello May.”
STANDOUT VENDORS “Can we say all of them?! Our whole team was amazing! The venue, beautiful, no words can describe how spectacular the team and the setting is at Mewburn Park. Ruth and Sally from Pepperberry Flora and Sam from Forethought Weddings, I had a vision and the ladies made it a reality! Sam also just made everything stress free – she was there when I needed her, she kicked Liam into gear when he needed it hahah and any little stress, she was on top of it! Our photographer Samantha – we honestly could not have asked for anyone better, she has been amazing, before the day, on the day and even still now (we got our whole gallery back in three weeks!)”
