On Monday we started to roll out our end of year round-ups than with Best of 2019: Wedding Cakes followed by Bridesmaids DressesStyling Ideas, Grooms Style and now here we are with our Top 10 Bridal Bouquets for 2019 (according to your clicks, likes and comments throughout the year across our blog, Instagram and Pinterest pages).

Bright, bold, bountiful bouquets were the order of the day in 2020 with so many amazing florists blowing our collective minds with their wild and wonderful arrangements. Special shout out needs to go to Sydney faves Petal & Fern and Aisle Of Eden, Victorian floral styling genius’s Babiana Botanic, Thistle Flower Studio and Pop Floristry (above) and Byron Bay legend Poppy & Fern – each of these amazing women are just so damn great at what they do, and the fact their brides rave about them is just further proof in the pudding.

So without further adieu ladies and gents, pull up your Pinterest board and get note-taking, because right here, in no particular order, are our top ten bridal bouquets of 2019…

LIZ & SCOTT, AUDLEY, NSW
This Audley Dancehall wedding is another repeat offender on our 2019 ‘Best of’ list (check out their awesome ceremony and reception styling here). But right now we’re here to talk about bride Liz’s epic bouquet by Sydney florists Aisle of Eden. These guys are based on the Southern Beaches making them perfectly placed to service weddings in not only Sydney but the South Coast and Southern Highlands too. With photos by Kristie Carrick Photography, you can check out the whole day right here.

LUCY & JAMES, SURRY HILLS, NSW
The only thing we love more than a wedding photographed by Anna Turner is a wedding photographed by Anna Turner featuring a stunning Petal & Fern bouquet. You can check out more from Lucy and James gorgeous day here and click here for more gorgeous weddings photographed by Anna. She’s one of those photographers brides consistently give the most amazing feedback about.

KIM & TIM, SOUTH COAST, NSW
There was way too much to love about this wedding, the styling by The Wedding and Event Creators, the gown by Karen Willis Holmes and, of course, the bouquet by Francis Floristry. So many bright colours and statement blooms all wrapped up in one tidy bouquet – what’s not to love. With photos by The Evoke Company, you can check out more of this gorgeous day right here. ELLIE & JIM, ADELAIDE, SA
We first featured Ellie and Jim’s epic backyard wedding in issue 24 of Hello May (pick up your copy here) and were blown away by their super chill approach to the day. Ellie had her mate Georgie create her all-white bouquet (you can check out more of Georgie’s work here on her Instagram as she doesn’t have a website) which goes perfectly with her short Zimmermann gown. Photographed by Nicola Lemon you can see more of this talented photographers work here, she’s Queensland based but travels all over shooting humans in love.

HOLLY & KANE, BYRON BAY, NSW
Jess, the owner of  Poppy & Fern Flowers, is one of the hardest working women we know! Along with making stunning bouquets like this one for Holly and Kanes wedding, she also owns The Garden Shed at The Farm just outside of Byron Bay, where she grows all her own flowers. You can see more of her floral styling creations here. Photos by Joey from Allume Weddings.

CHLOE & STEPHEN, TRENTHAM, VIC
We’re being a bit cheeky with this one, as whilst Chloe and Steven’s wedding was submitted to us this year, it’s still in our upcoming schedule to be shared with you all. But this gorgeous mix of dried and fresh flowers by Thistle Flower Studio, in some seriously gorgeous shades of blush and rust, was too perfect not to share! This wedding was photographed by Melbourne lens lady Georgia Verrells, you can check out some of our fave weddings she’s shot here and read more about her here.

MEGAN & DEAN, SYDNEY, NSW
We were so chuffed Sydney lens lady Samantha Heather chose us to share the gorgeous wedding of Megan and Dean with us, largely because we’re HUGE fans of Sammy’s beautiful photos (check out the wedding of Lorena & George she shot in issue 26 of Hello May),  but also because it brought this stunning bouquet by Florals by Silva into our lives. Sam seems to attract brides with epic bouquets, click here to check out Amy & Mikes wedding and the brides stunning wild daisy bouquet.

LINZI & BILLY, MELBOURNE, VIC
When you’re an amazing florist, OF COURSE, you’re going to create the flowers for your own wedding, and bride Linzi, owner of Melbourne fave Pop Floristry, did just that! This total explosion of happiness and colour was perfectly suited to their quirky Melbourne wedding. This wedding was photographed by Madeline Kate Photography (who also happens to have shot our issue 27 cover), if you love her work as much as we do you can check out more of it right here.

STEPH & NICK, SURF COAST, VIC
A statement gold wedding dress calls for a statement bouquet and this year you guys were loving on Babiana Botanic’s wild and wonderful creation. This Melbourne florist is known for thinking outside of the box when it comes to blooms for your big day and her brides always rave about what a joy she was to work with how she just “got them” from the get-go. Steph and Nicks wedding was photographed by the ever so awesome Blossom Daisy Creative – who’s fabulous work you can see more of here.

KATE & SKYE, BYRON BAY, NSW
Kate and Skye’s beautiful daughter almost stole the show with her fairy-like dress and cute as a button flower crown. Holding her mummas bouquet mid-ceremony just tipped her over the edge into full-blown adorableness! Created by Wilderness Flowers, this wedding was photographed by one of our fave Queensland lens ladies Stories By Ash. You can check out more of Ash’s beautiful work here, here and here – because we can never get enough of this woman’s relaxed and candid approach to capturing your day.
