“Tim is so polite and such a gentleman that I was the one who had to make the first move and kiss him! It was the best thing I ever did”, gushes newlywed Kim. This super savvy couple were engaged for 16 months, allowing them the extra time they needed to secure all the vendors they wanted (each of which they were absolutely thrilled with!). A few of our faves over here at Hello May were there to make Tim and Kim’s day extra spesh. The lovely Makeup by Megan, the friendly folk behind South Coast Party Hire (who provided the goods in the form of lush velvet couches) and the delish Duck Duck Goose were just a few of their favourite vendors. All of this goodness was then brought together by the wizards at The Wedding and Event Creators.

The bride sparkled her way down the aisle in a divine Karen Willis Holmes number clasping one of the brightest bunches of blooms we have seen to date! Scroll down to see the stunning pics as captured by the good peeps behind Evoke Company Photography…

THE VENUE “It was the only one we looked at and we booked it the very next day! We liked the idea of being able to have our entire celebration at the one location to save our guests running around. We also loved the idea of having a wedding with both indoor and outdoor spaces. I really wanted an outdoor dancefloor under the stars, and Seacliff has a large deck area next to the pool which was perfect.”

THE VIBE “I knew from the beginning that I wanted a colourful celebration for our wedding day. The brief quickly became ‘colour bomb with gold accents.’ I envisioned bright, lush florals with some gold sparkle and candles everywhere.”

FAVOURITE DETAILS “If I had to choose a favourite detail it would have to be our incredible flowers [by Francis Floristry]. They were colourful, they were plentiful and our guests have not stopped raving about our gorgeous flowers! Honourable mention has to go to the cocktail furniture we hired from South Coast Party Hire; navy and blush velvet couches and chairs with gold details. We would also we remiss if we didn’t mention the chicken and mashed potato with creamy mushroom sauce that our caterer Duck Duck Goose created. It was actually life-changing. I’m so sad that I didn’t eat more, and even sadder that DDG doesn’t run a restaurant so that I can go and eat it for dinner every night!”

THE DRESS “All I wanted for my wedding dress was SPARKLE and Karen Willis Holmes sure knows how to make a sparkly dress! KWH was such a special experience, complete with champagne and my favourite women around me. When I put the Celine on, Tim’s mum commented that I had a different kind of smile on my face. When she assured me that Tim would love it, that sealed the deal. I felt sexy and beautiful in my gown, it sparkled and hugged my figure in all the right places.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “Matt from The Evoke Company was such a pleasure to work with that by the end of the day he felt like a friend as opposed to a vendor. I was super fussy when it came to choosing a photographer, and when I saw Matt’s work, I just knew he was the one I wanted to capture our day. We could not be happier with what he captured for us! Vanessa & Kat from The Wedding & Event Creators planned and coordinated our day, and they were worth every cent. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they were so helpful!”
