Happy Boxing Day everyone! We hope you stuffed yourself silly on Christmas day and are kicking back on the couch right now, maybe with a fresh ring on your finger, doing a spot of wedding research. On Monday we started to roll out our end of year round ups than with Best of 2019: Wedding Cakes followed by Bridesmaids Dresses and Styling Ideas and now here we are today with our Top 10 Grooms Style for 2019 (according to your clicks, likes and comments throughout the year across our blog, Instagram and Pinterest pages).

This is a new category for us, but with so many dashing options for the groom and his men these days, we thought they will and truly deserved their own post! This year, you guys and gals hit the like button the most on suits by MJ Bale and Oscar Hunt Tailors, both of which have multipule entries on this list, as well as Joe Black and anytime a groom dared to be a little different by (gasp) ditching a tie, wearing a hat, or mixing things up a bit with colour and texture.

But before we dive into these dapper looks we just wanted to point you in the direction for some of our fave mens accessories for 2020! We’re all about shoes your man will ACTUALLY wear again so have a current obsession with Blundstone – you can check out some of our faves here. When it comes to accessories be sure to check out this list of our top 15 jewellery designers – each of them have their own unique take on mens rings and accessories like cufflinks – all of which are sure to become heirloom pieces as the years pass.

Now accessories are done and dusted, it’s on to find the perfect suit, so pull up your Pinterest boards, because right here, in no particular order, are our top ten grooms styles of 2019…

MELISSA & JONATHON, YARRA VALLEY, VIC
John looked all kinds of daper in his tan MJ Bale suit which he paired with a matching vest and black slacks to mix things up a bit. Photographed by Melbourne lens lady Ashleigh Haase, you can check out more of this stunning Yarra Valley wedding here and more of Ash’s gorgeous wedding work right here.

ELLE MAY & CHRISTIAN, SUNSHINE COAST, QLD
We love a groom thats not afraid to dress like himself, rather than a text book “Groom” on his wedding day and Christian really came through with the goods with this Krammer & Stoudt suit. And if you think he looks awesome, wait till you see his gorgeous bride Elle May in her oh-so whimsical blush pink wedding dress! This laid back day was photographed by the one and only Ben Sowry, you can click here and here to check out more of his wedding work.

BROOKE & BENNY, NORTH COAST, NSW
We were loving on Benny’s brown tweed suit from Ben Sherman which he topped off with a rather dashing hat from Brixton. This low key couples decided to walk down the aisle together, with their new born babe in their arms and it was all your backyard wedding dreams come to life. Photographed by Joel from Barefoot and Bearded, you can check out more of this special day here and scope out all our fave Barefoot & Bearded weddings here.

SIMONE & FRED, SNOWY VALLEY, NSW
Fred scrubbed up a treat in his midnight blue suit by Oscar Hunt Tailers paired with black shoes and a black bow tie. It’s easy to see why Oscar Hunt have been so poplar with readers this year when they have store fronts in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, making them perfectly accessable for east coast grooms. You can check out a few of our favourite suit styles here and more of Fred and Simones wedding, with photos by Janneke Storm, here.

TAHLIA & MITCH, MELBOURNE, VIC
Oscar Hunt again for the win! This time with a blue and black tuxedo jacket from Tahlia and Mitch’s Melbourne wedding. Grooms the country over have been loving on this Australian owned brand, so be sure to secure yourself an appointment at one of their Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide ateliers to see what all the fuss is about. This wedding was photographed by I Got You Babe Weddings, you can check out more of her beautiful photos here.

MONTANA & CRAIG, QUEENSTOWN, NZ
Craig mixed things up a bit with his dark navy suit pants and light blue dress jacket (both by MJ Bale, of course) for his mountain top wedding which was photographed by one of our fave Canberra lens ladies, Lauren Campbell. You can check out more of Lauren’s work here and more of Montana and Craigs Queenstown elopement here. Thinking about eloping in New Zealand? You’re going to need the Queenstown Wedding Association in your life! It’s your one stop shop for planning an elopement across the ditch.

LEELOU & JAI, MELBOURNE, VIC
Its so fab to see each Oscar Hunt groom really mix things up with their suit selection. We love groom Jai’s old school approach to a three piece suit. You can check out more of his and Leelous wedding here with photos by Nirav Patel. This gorgeous bride and groom are also the owners of Melbournes coolest photobooth, Heartbreak Booth, so if you’re looking for a fun addition to your wedding reception be sure to drop them a line.

SHANNON & JAMES, BYRON BAY, NSW
Another repeat offender on our ‘Best of 2019’ lists (you can check out their ceremony setup on our Best of 2019: Styling Ideas post) this time the boys make the cut for their snazzy outfits. Both opted for MJ Bale pants and a Calvin Klein shirt but mixed things up with a MJ Bale and Scotch & Soda jacket each so they were not too matchy matchy. This wedding was photographed by Byron Bay local Nina Claire Photography, you can check out more of her wedding work here.

NADINE & SIMON, MAURITIUS
We love a man in a classic black tuxedo and no one does them better than the good folk of Joe Black Menswear. You should take your groomsmen along to an evening of whisky drinking at one of their many stores Australia wide (Hot tip – purchase three or more suits in one of Joe Blacks flagship stores and score 20% off your order). This wedding was photographed by Paris Hawkin Photography, you can check out more of her photographic stylings here.

ROB & ANDY, BYRON BAY, NSW
Rob and Andy nailed the low key coastal elopement look with their bare feet, tan slacks and crisp white shirts, choosing to ditch the jackets completly for their summer time wedding. Photographed by Cedar and Salt, both gents are dressed head to to in menswear label Politix.
