Both lawyers, Liv & Andrew are used to working under pressure so when they had to completely replan their day (COVID, of course), the pair got down to business. Thanks to a super supportive team of vendors (Luci Di Bella on the gown, The Petal Project on blooms, Georgia Mills on legals and Ali Bailey behind the lens), the new details were set quick smart. Scroll down for all the juicy details…

THE VIBE “Blue! We decided early on that we wanted blue hydrangeas to be the feature flower for our wedding. As our wedding was on the beach, we then decided this would form the basis of our “blue theme”. When our wedding venue changed to the city, we were determined to keep the blue theme and it ended up working perfectly in our new venue! I knew I didn’t want to wear white wedding shoes and ended up finding the perfect blue pair!”

THE DRESS “It only took a couple of wedding dress appointments for me to decide Luci Di Bella was the wedding dress designer for me. It was my first wedding dress appointment which was direct with the designer – and that was the deciding factor for me. Luci gave the best advice based on her wealth of experience (not all trends suit all brides!) and was incredibly fun and easy to work with to create the dress I had envisaged for the day! I absolutely loved my dress and it was exactly what I had wanted!

LITTLE LOL “I had one (my sister might say more!) bridezilla moment when I threatened to cancel the wedding as it was still raining at 12.00 pm before the 3.00 pm (outside) ceremony start, despite the weather forecast claiming the rain would stop at around 11.00 am. As fate would have it, the rain stopped shortly after and at 2.55 pm, the clouds cleared and the sun came out and the weather was perfect for the rest of the day!”

A WORD OF ADVICE “COVID definitely taught us to accept that every single detail won’t go exactly as planned or won’t be exactly what you had envisaged – at the end of the day, if those key things which are important to you are right, then it will be a perfect day to remember! For us, the perfect combination was great food, drinks, music and above all, the friends and family who are there to celebrate with you!”

STANDOUT VENDORS “We loved absolutely everyone! Our photographer Ali Bailey, our stylist/coordinator Luci from Poni Studio, our celebrate Georgia Mills, Alison from The Petal Project – we made sure we chose vendors who were similar to us and understood our vision for the day – it meant that everyone had a great day together! Most of our vendors had worked together multiple times before and this made everything so easy to coordinate. Our vendors were all fantastic with the date changes. The wedding went from September to March to December, and everyone was so flexible and accommodating!”

This delicious day was originally published in Issue 32 of Hello May mag. Now sold out, you can catch some equally gorgeous real weddings in print via our current Issue 33 available for purchase here. Want more from this swell team of vendors?
