There’s not enough space on the World Wide Web for us to express just how much we adore Lily and Tom’s spring wedding – hosted in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and artfully photographed by Taylor Kezia.
While these lovebirds entertained the idea of eloping, they were ultimately glad they went the wedding route. “Not much can compare to looking out and seeing all the people we love, at different moments throughout the day and night, supporting us and showering us with love.”

THE VENUE “Growing up on the Sunshine Coast, Lily has always loved the hinterland. With limited venues in the area that can host more than 120 guests, and knowing their numbers would exceed that, we needed a flexible option. Flaxton Gardens offered just that, with its adaptable set-up. The purple floral wall, marquee, and on-site accommodation sealed the deal.”
FAVE DETAILS “Prioritising meaningful conversations with friends, we decided to keep the tables uncluttered, opting for a striking hanging feature in the centre of the marquee, complemented by smaller table accents to encourage easy chatting. The florals took our breath away, and we don’t believe that the day would have been the same without the team from Mondo Floral Designs.
THE DRESS “I came across a photo on Pinterest of these stunning, dramatic sleeves and was instantly hooked. I visited a few stores and tried on different styles, but in the end, I knew those sleeves were exactly what I wanted. [For me], going to a dressmaker and having something custom-made just felt like a risk worth taking. Working with Susan [Ogg] was an absolute delight, and the whole process was so much fun.”
REFERENCES “Lily ended up following every wedding inspiration page on Instagram and joining all the Facebook groups, which were very helpful. Hello May (obviously), the Wed Facebook group, Sunshine Coast wedding Facebook group were all very helpful.”
MEMORABLE MOMENT “The speeches were our absolute favourite part. We might be biased, but they were the best speeches we have ever heard. They brought many laughs and many tears. Taylor, our photographer, was on hand, capturing everyone’s reactions. It was so lovely getting those photos back and reliving them. We also decided to have a first look, which was so special to have a few moments of peace together before the madness. It really settled Lily’s nerves before walking down the aisle.”

She made us feel so comfortable, captured every special moment beautifully, and went above and beyond to bring our vision to life. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect person to document our day. Mondo Florals exceeded all our expectations in every regard—from their communications to the final execution. We couldn’t recommend them more highly.”
