This wedding was an eventful one, guys. Not only COVID mean they had to postpone their wedding, but an electrical fire at their first venue meant they had to change altogether. However, it does prove that as long as you’re marrying the love of your life, nothing else really matters that much, eh? Except for some great vendors, of course. The bride wore a gown from one of our go-to QLD boutiques,  Sphere Bridal Gallery, the groomsmen were in M.J. Bale and Tennille Fink Photographer captured the day. Scroll down for all…

THE INSPO “Informal, romantic and fun. We had rescheduled the wedding so many times because of a fire [at their first venue] and COVID, so we just wanted to have the best time we could have (within COVID restrictions) with lots of dancing, great food, lots of laughs and just a huge celebration of our love for each other. We had always loved The Farm and Three Blue Ducks – relaxed, beautiful, lots of nature and absolutely delicious food.”

FAVE DETAILS “Two of my best friends and bridesmaids [couldn’t be there] as they live in London. They were so sweet and woke up that day at 2:30 am and got ready with me virtually, even wearing their bridesmaid dresses. When we arrived at the reception, they surprised me with a life-size cardboard cut out of themselves dressed in their bridesmaid dresses so they could be there with me.”

THE DRESS “I absolutely loved my dress [from Sphere Bridal Gallery]. I knew I wanted something simple and timeless, however, I didn’t have any specific dresses in mind. I wanted to be comfortable and be able to dance. I tried on a couple of dresses beforehand, however as soon as I put on my Jane Hill dress I knew that it was the one for me!”

LITTLE LOL “The involvement of The Farm’s local chicken Bobby. One of the groomsmen picked it up for a photo and from then on it was practically a part of the bridal party. It followed us everywhere, it even sat at the table at one point. It joined me for the speeches, it danced with us on the dance floor.  It was like a human!”

A WORD OF ADVICE “Choose one thing each that really means a lot to you (besides actually getting married, and your guests) and focus on organising that really well. If both of those things are a hit, then you will both have the best time.  For me, it was the food, and for Chris, it was the music.”

WE’RE GLAD WE… “Didn’t postpone it yet again. Last year taught us that you never know what is around the corner, so we just decided to go ahead and I am so glad that we did. Another thing was to organise an after-party venue. We had our after party at The Bolt Hole in Byron Bay.  We booked out the entire venue from 11:30 pm until 2 am and it was fantastic. It gave the guests a chance to kick on with the party, and made the celebrations last even longer.”

STANDOUT VENDORSMark Travers Music was everything we wanted in a musician and more. He made sure the dance floor was always packed and pumping and was constantly making us laugh. Tennille Fink Photographer and Gus (Coral Film Co) for sure! When we were having our photos taken after the ceremony, we had so much fun our mouths hurt from smiling! They made things feel so natural and allowed us to just be ourselves. I think this showed through the amazing photos and videos that they created!”

If you love the pics of Jenna and Chris as much as we do, head on over to Tennille Fink’s Directory listing with us here. You’ll find a few more happy couples along with contact details.
