Feel like ‘garden nymph’ is your calling when it comes to getting married? If you dream of floating through fields of greenery, flapping about with foliage, heck, even getting married in a greenhouse or nursery, this Friday we are feelin’ it (and hence, you) and have the perfect fashion shoot reference for your day of days.

This editorial screams Spring and highlights the beauty of sheer pieces – as part of a chic gown (check out Luci Di Bella) or layered over the top as a detachable train (don’t miss Karen Willis Holmes), or as a cool take on a traditional princess style gown (as seen in the Alena Leena from Love Marie). They showcase how delicious it looks with the sun shining through your garment, while you run through rose beds or pose in front of flowers for your portraits. We take it one step further, and run, too, so hey, if that’s your thing, it also makes for some darn good shots, friends. There are also puffy sleeves for the gal who loves to be slightly OTT and detail for days (in gowns like Laure de Sagazan’s from Carte Blanche Bride). Oh and let’s not forget the silhouettes you’ll see below – all super femme and some form-fitting to show off all the good things in all the right places. We also shot rings from Kate & Kole which are quite simply, easy on the eye, while being exceptionally well priced (in our humble opinion!).

The hair is wild and free and the makeup is simply divine, both by the talented Samantha Lee, who you will see from her Directory listing with us, here, creates bridal as well as fashion like she was born to do it. The pics, by none other than the incredible Matt Godkin, another friend of Hello May who shoots weddings with an eye like no other.

But back to the dresses for a moment. If you’re keen to get into a boutique to check them out in real life, a bunch of our go-to’s stock a vast range of different designers covered below; Hope X Page and Love Marie Bridal Boutique (both NSW), Mrs Fray (ACT) and Sphere Bridal Gallery (QLD). Trust us, you won’t regret heading in.

And finally, this blooming good shoot (see what we did there?!) was originally published in Issue 30 of Hello May Magazine, so if you’re a print lover make sure you check out our online store – mags are flying off the metaphorical shelves over there with freebie codes on normal editions as well as our available Real Wedding Specials.
