Ella and Brayden are the bees knees, friends. Their idea of marriage? “I think I just love the idea that it’s solidifying that we both freaking love each other and want to hangout and annoy each other everyday for the rest of our lives!” Need we say more?

Every gosh-darn detail was chef’s kiss, from the bride’s Christie Nicole Bridal gown (omg, those sleeves!) and the groom’s dapper Joe Black suit, to the flower-covered cake (courtesy of a friend – lucky!) and the bridesmaids’ gifts from one of our faves, Vorfreude Stationery. And with the insanely talented Flossy Photo behind the lens (love her!), the pics of the big day are seriously tops.

THE VIBE “Laidback but luxe. We always envisioned an ‘urban/industrial’ vibe for the ceremony and had one venue in mind, so we didn’t need to look long at all. Unfortunately that fell through and we just had to think fast on new venue – luckily, it all came together perfectly when Mum and Dad suggested their gardens.”

FAVE DETAILS “Probably would have to be the cake (made by a friend) and the cookies by Flo and Co Baked Goods – both girls absolutely nailed my brief and they not only looked INCREDIBLE but tasted amazing!”

DIY “Unfortunately I did undertake some DIY… I decided to make the floral installation for our photo board the day before. Looked good in the end but was a mistake, lol.”

REFERENCES ” Flossy Photo and our celebrant, Sarah Thompson, have been my girl crushes for years as I have watch my friends use them as their vendors, so I knew that’s exactly who I wanted for photographer and celebrant. Then I mainly used Instagram and Hello May to check out videographers.”

THE DRESS “My dress was everything and more! Christie Nicole Bridal is so incredibly talented and I cannot praise her enough. It was all custom made and created without us ever meeting. We went back and forth a lot over emails to get every detail perfect and she made me feel so at ease throughout the entire process. Ultimately my dress really represented the vibe of my day – simple and relaxed but with a bold twist and a bit of fun in the sleeves.”

THE SUIT “The Joe Black suits were super-easy as well – we wanted a linen jacket to go with our soft earthy colour palette and black pants, shoes and ties to keep it clean and simple. The boys didn’t seem to complain when I dragged them to David Jones!”

LITTLE LOL “We arrived at the reception before most of our guests – they were enjoying the champagne at the ceremony too much haha!”

WE’RE GLAD WE… “I am so glad I made Brayden let me get a videographer (Wild Feathers Creative)– it’s the little moments on film that you get to rewatch which make your heart explode, especially when so much is happening through out the day! Plus we can show our children one day and reminisce together.”

STANDOUT VENDOR “Flossy Photo was a total VIBE. She made me feel like the voguest boss bitch ever and everyone so comfortable in front of the camera – tough gig with our groomsmen!”
