In case you missed it we kicked our ‘Best Of 2018’ series off last Friday with the most popular bouquets from the past 12 months (according to your clicks, likes and comments throughout the year), then it was onto Bridal Parties, Cakes and Bridal Gowns and today it’s all about table styling!
This is a new category for us. We have just seen so many gorgeous table setups (mostly all long tables) at beautiful venues this year we wanted to shine a light on the vendors that make it all happens.
So without further adieu ladies and gents, pull up your Pinterest board and get note taking, here, in no particular order, are our top ten table setups of 2018…
STEPH & TOM, SOUTH COAST, NSW
East Village Events, Wedding and Event Creators and Floral Pines Design Co put their heads together to create this summertime wonderland under this gorgeous KataLane marquee. We’re smitten kittens with the hanging and suspended greenery. This wedding was photographed by one seriously talented women, the lovely Nina Claire Photography. Nina recently relocated from Sydney to Byron Bay and shoots weddings all over. You can check out more of her real wedding work in issue 23 of Hello May, on sale now and stocked in newsagents nationally.
HELLO MAY WEDDING PLANNER & NOTEBOOK LAUNCH, VIC
We weren’t surprised when your clicks, likes and comments from 2018 landed this beauty in the top ten. Rupert on Rupert, with all of their super hanging greenery already in place, is such a special location to hold an event and it gets bonus points for being right in the heart of town! Nomad Styling and Georgie Boy Flowers did such a superb job of the table working with candles from Tony Assness, precious stones from Our Satellite Hearts, linen napkins and cutlery from Event Art and tablecloths from Simmons Linen Hire. This event was photographed by Elsa Campbell Photography.
CORA & JAMIE, NSW
This gorgeous long table reception took place at Lindesay House in Sydney with Event planning and styling by Honey Lane and flowers by Sweet Pea and Honey Bee. The talented folk from Steady Hand Creative are responsible for the beautiful table numbers which bring the soft tones of the table together. The bar and other furniture items were hired from Timbermill Rentals with photos by Whisper Photography.
PERI & ROB, NSW
We’re not sure which one we love more, the couples KataLane Event Hire marquee or naked tipi with lighting? According to your clicks, likes and comments throughout the year both are pretty darn special. Peri and Rob have Bespoke Country Wedding to thank for the styling along with Sydney wedding photographer Jack Henry for the pretty pictures.
STEPH & MATT, NSW
There is nothing like a Tuscan style barn to set the scene for a stunning wedding reception and that’s exactly what Osteria offers. Styled by Bliss & Willow with hire items from One Day House and flowers by Julia Rose we just can’t get enough of the ambient lighting, bentwood chairs and hanging greenery. This wedding was photographed by Janneke Storm. You can check out some of her best weddings here.
ELSA & TOBY, VIC
You just can’t go wrong in an industrial space like Gather & Tailor. Easy one of our fave Melbourne venues. With hire items from Pepper & Sprout and flowers by Babylon Flowers we just love the clean white space that allows the simple tables and greenery to really shine. This wedding was photographed by Melbourne fave Beck Rocchi (who’s own wedding you can check out here).
WILD ROSE EDITORIAL, WA
Who could go past this dreamy and whimsical table put together by a total dream team of West Australian vendors. You can check out the full credits and shoot here, but big props have to go to stylist Tiffany Keal Creative Studio and florist Natural Art Flowers along with stationary and signage wizard Melissa Soraya. This editorial was photographed by one of our all-time fave Perth wedding photographers Natasja Kremers. You can check out more of her wedding work here.
ZOE & SCOTT, NSW
Those clever kids from The Bespokery are responsible for this epic installation at Zoe and Scott’s Sydney wedding held at the perfect blank canvas, Red Box Theatre. This wedding was photographed by Lara Hotz Photography. You can check out some more of Lara’s weddings here.
PENNY & MATT, QLD
This creative couple chose to go down the DIY route for their incredible day with a little help from stylist Sazzi Events and florist Flowers by Julia-Rose. Photographed by one of our fave Queensland wedding photographers, Ephemeral Creative who also happened to make their incredible film, you can check out the whole shebang here.
REAL WEDDING SPECIAL LAUNCH, NSW
And rounding out our top 10 you guys were seriously loving on our table styling for the launch of our fourth annual Real Wedding Special at Three Blue Ducks – one of our all-time fave wedding venues (and caterers!) in Byron Bay. No one would of been in attendance without our rad letterpressed invitations from D&d letterpress, who also whipped up menus and place cards that Rach from Peachey Pie Weddings so artfully styled on the table with raffia placemats and linen napkins from The Wedding Shed, rose quartz crystals from Byron Bay Tipi Weddings, some tousled blush linen along with blooms from Jess at Poppy and Fern Flowers. This eventwas photographed by Janneke Storm.
