Can you deal with the beauty that is this new collection from Prea James Bridal? I mean, really. In The Midst 2021 brings volume in all the right places, material that was simply put on this earth to be crafted into these creations, cut outs, textures and tailoring to boot.
There’s textiles designed in Paris and viscose satin from Italy and it’s the Sydney designer’s fifth collection, boasting 10 incredible wedding dresses, plus six separates, including one of our fave pieces, the Mia Mesh Top, that you can layer under any of the gorgeous gowns. Sustainable fabrics and pieces that can be worn beyond your big day are front of mind – there’s even detachable sleeves – and we can’t get enough of the Sia Skirt (with built in shorts, no less!).
“In the Midst has many meanings to me,” says the designer. “It sums up the mood throughout these unprecedented times in 2020, yet there is still an energy of hope. I felt a sense of unity with people coming together to fight for change. There was also a deeper appreciation for family and loved ones during a time where we weren’t able to see our family. As if in the midst of it all we realised what was truly important.”
