When this styled shoot hit our inbox, we were seriously impressed. Not only are the tablescapes and florals so damn beautiful, but the two colourways featured are bang on-trend  – we are loving on the lilac paired with vintage blush, while the lemon/peach combo is giving serious Tuscan vibes. The brainchild of Elena of LNR Events, Lauren of State of Nature Floral Studio, and Emma Hawkins Photography, who took the gorg snaps, their “spring soiree” styling concept “tells a story of playful opulence, featuring the luxurious gold-rimmed dinnerware, cutlery and glassware of  Event Merchant Co, delicate yet structured florals, all accented by the elegance of tapered candles,” they share.

Follow along as we chat to each of the creative cats responsible for this incredible work, which took place in the heart of Melbourne – guaranteed to give you topnotch inspo for your very own big day.

LNR EVENTS
For Elena, event planner and stylist behind this lush styled shoot and owner of LNR Events, her inspo for the day was the meaning behind the color purple and its association with royalty and luxury. “I wanted to focus on the softer tone of lilac, as it blooms in spring and evokes feelings of serenity and romance,” she says.

EMMA HAWKINS PHOTOGRAPHY
With an eye for and focus on beautiful detail, coupled with her passion for luxe styling, Emma was the perfect lens lady to document all the best bits from this day. “Each image captured is unique and tells a piece of the story, evoking endless memories,” she says.

STATE OF NATURE FLORAL STUDIO
Dreamy, whimsical  florals are what this Melbourne-based florist is all about. Head flowerer Lauren also places huge importance on “sustainability and showcasing locally-grown florals”, thinking outside the box to create unique designs which tell a story and feature a romantic, naturalistic and garden-esque aesthetic. “The inspiration behind this shoot was texture, dancing light and movement,” she says.

THE TERRACE
Located in the heart of Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens, The Terrace was a no-brainer for the creative team when deciding on a venue. With uninterrupted views across the Ornamental Lake and city from the covered alfresco area, the space played a huge role in the overall vibe. “The Terrace is bathed in light and surrounded by green foliage, which provided the quintessential springtime backdrop for this concept,” the team say.

BEURRE
The stunner of a cake included in this shoot is an absolute masterpiece – and the reason why Zahara, the one-lady show behind Beurre (which means butter), earned her spot in our annual Top 20 Cake Makers to Follow on Instagram post recently. “The whimsy in this concept is introduced in the form of a cake garden, towering above a bed of sweetpeas and hellebore. The triple-tiered delight is adorned with structured icing as delicate as a fairies’ wings and crowned with a scattering of elegant white roses,” says photographer Emma.

ADELPHI MOU
We love the curved edges and circular typesetting Adelphi Mou used to create these contemporary paper goods, which prove that simple can be both chic and showstopping.
