Zephyr and Bloom Cakes
Armed with twenty years of experience and a passion for delish flavour combos, this list wouldn’t be complete without Jemima of Zephyr & Bloom. Based in Melbourne, Jemima is on a mission to make wedding cakes interesting by incorporating the likes of baked cheesecake layers, pralines and miso. Her gram feed is a wonderful place in which you’ll find plenty of scrummy cake cross-sections, the occasional stroopwaffle and mounds of doughnuts. The Bake Space
The Bake Space is the brainchild of Adelaide-based lass Betty and her offering is vast. We’re talking cakes, desserts and edible favours (rice krispies and chocolate covered Oreos anyone?) She specialises in constructing custom creations but also offers a divine array of preset cake designs for those of you not so fond of surprises. Black Hen Kitchen
Bec, of Black Hen Kitchen, utilises her Bachelor of Visual Arts and her childhood spent shadowing her Grandmother in the kitchen to create bakes that tell a story. Her focus is on using your story to craft an edible memory for you day, using only the most top-notch, local ingredients. You can shoot her your dream cake ideas here. Mad About Cakes
This Melbourne-based team are, quite literally, mad about cakes. So much so that they cater to a whole range of dietary restrictions. Offering private tastings and design consults in their very own kitchen space, they are keen to personalise your cake every which way. Sage & Grace
Where to begin with these fine folk? Using primarily organic, whole and naturally gluten-free ingredients, Sage & Grace aim for happy tummies and happy hearts (you’ll find plenty of vegan options, too!) And how’s this for a special touch – head baker, Sarah, incorporates fresh fruit and edible blooms that have been homegrown in her parents garden to finish her creations off. Their gram is full of yummy floral bedecked goodies as well as their sought after cake kits that you can bake at home. A very worthy addition to your feed. Stacy Brewer Cakes
Sydney chick Stacy loves a floral topper. And we love her. Truly, you know a Stacy Brewer cake when you see one. Towers of deliciousness, Stacy’s cakes offer a super fresh take on the wedding cake with striking visual design elements front and centre. Her ‘gram is a haven of berries, cream and floral fantasies. Operating under the mantra of “simple is best” when it comes to flavours, their flavour menu is full of much-loved classics and tried and tested combos as well as a dedicated range of vegan options. There really is no style these Perth-based cake connoisseurs can’t master. The Cake & I are, without a doubt, the real deal. Popping up regularly on the HM blog, one day you might be treated to a dainty daisy covered creation and the next, black and white terrazzo. Willow George Cake Co

Melbourne pals, get excited. She’s sassy, she’s extra and she’s here to make your wildest wedding cake fantasy come true. We love that head baker, Alice, is an ingredients snob and only sources the best of the best. A fan of puns, colour and decadent tiered creations, the inside is guaranteed to be just as delish as the outside. Cake Love Couture
Offering completely bespoke wedding and celebration cakes, and only taking on a limited number of bakes each week, Cake Love Couture is all your cake fantasies come to life. Really, their creativity knows no bounds. If you’re not so sure what you’re after, these lovely ladies will take inspiration from the details of your big day and create something special. Based in Perth, you can even order a tasting box to get in on a bit of Cake Love Couture goodness before the big day itself.
La Petite Tarte
If you’re after a yum inspo injection for your Insta feed, La Petite Tarte can sort you out. With gluten-free and vegan options, they’re keen to create your dream wedding day sweets. But these two Sydney-based sisters don’t just trade purely in cakes. If you’re after an overflowing dessert table, a doughnut cake or anything else sugary and sweet, they’ve got you covered. Megan has been baking since the ripe age of 14, so her cake know-how is tip top.
