This picture-perfect wedding (with neutral vibes to boot) was a combination of a glorious couple and some seriously good vendors, complete with a whole lotta love, of course. From the style choices (Grace Loves Lace and M.J. Bale to be specific) to the location (Byron View Farm) and event planners, ELOPE, as well as their celebrant Married by Candice, we can see why it was such a raging success. Oh and don’t miss the story about Luke’s cute contract with his mum on a napkin from 20 years ago! Danielle Webster Photography was there to capture the good feels, so scroll down for all…

THE VENUE “We had originally planned an overseas elopement in Tuscany in 2020, but, unfortunately, COVID meant we had to cancel two months out. It was devastating at the time but we are so happy with how it all turned out in the end! We absolutely loved the relaxed vibe of Byron View Farm. The stunning views, the cottage and its overall charm, plus they have three adorable dogs!”

THE INSPO “Our wedding was inspired by neutral colours, romantic dried florals, textured vases and my dress itself! We wanted that relaxed boho vibe with a touch of elegance. I didn’t want to be safe and traditional with our wedding styling, I wanted to be able to look back at our wedding in the many years to come and be taken right back to not only the day itself but also our lives at the time. I was that bride that sent our wedding planner a huge document full of inspo photos and styling notes for every detail of our day. We were both thrilled with how everything turned out.”

FAVE DETAILS “I adored our flowers! I had a vision for how I wanted them to look but couldn’t find anything similar to reference. I loved the idea of having all dried wedding florals so we could keep them forever. I am so lucky my sister has a dried floral business (White Cove Studio), and we were able to work together. The floral arrangements turned out better than I ever could have imagined and are now on display around our house. My bouquet is probably my favourite detail of all – it was all white dried florals and also featured preserved roses from Fleur Du Luxe.”

DIY “The invites, flowers, place cards, Polaroid photo board set up, even painting most of the vases we used for styling – it took three full SUVs to get everything to the venue! We managed to save a lot of money by doing things ourselves and still got the look we wanted. One of my favourite DIYs was our shell table place cards, they were so simple to make but so beautiful, I loved how they complemented our tablescape. My sister sourced and got the shells cut to size and I ordered the custom vinyl labels from Pretty Little Designs.”

THE DRESS “My dress is the Bea gown from Grace Loves Lace. I noticed it on Instagram just before we got engaged and fell in love with it, so as soon as we got engaged I was so excited to visit their local showroom. I still wanted to try on a few dress options while I was there, because how often do you get to try on wedding dresses right? The stylist, Jorja, purposely left the Bea gown until last as she knew I had come in specifically for it. As soon as I tried it on I knew it was the one, the colour, the lace detail, the sleeves, it was all so unique and I felt like the dress had been made for me.”

THE SUIT “Luke’s suit was from M.J. Bale. Strangely finding his suit was harder than the dress! Because my dress was a champagne colour rather than white, I really wanted the dress and suit to compliment each other and suggested a linen beige suit to him. Luke wanted a more relaxed look so he didn’t tuck his shirt and folded his pants. We love how the dress and suit looked together.”

LITTLE LOL “During the speeches, Luke’s mum had a napkin which was a note Luke had written and signed when he was 10 years old promising he would never leave her. She said she was disappointed he broke the contract but that he couldn’t have run away with a better person. Everyone laughed and couldn’t believe she had kept it for almost 20 years waiting for this moment.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “Our photographer,  Danielle Webster Photography, went above and beyond, she was such a calming presence and captured so many beautiful moments. Kaitlyn and Dan from Common Studios were also amazing. And oh my gosh the food by Fig Tree was so good, we couldn’t believe how delicious it all was. Everything on the menu was vegetarian and it was some of the best food we’ve ever had.”
