Milly was keen to create an “exotic far away land” by incorporating bohemian styling and Moroccan influenced touches and from the venue, The Black Chapel, to the abundance of florals, it’s safe to say they nailed it. THE VENUE “We had already envisioned the wedding we wanted and Milly wanted it to have a bohemian, Moroccan feel. Milly looked into a lot of nature spots including an option of hiring out the sand dunes for a desert feel but nothing felt more perfect than The Black Chapel with the ultra luxurious Riad inspired pool.”
FAVE DETAILS “The coordinated colour palette, Green Mango’s amazing Pink Bao Bun burgers! The first time I saw the flower crown – Luca Luna did an incredible job with the flowers. When Hilary (of The Artful Caker) brought in the cake we all were in amazement at the Moroccan tile design. The set up that The Event Folk created gave me chills.”
THE DRESS “From the moment I walked into Hope X Page I felt at ease. The girls are so wonderful, they truly went above and beyond, helping me try on a number of different dresses. I actually saw the Orion gown on Pinterest and saved the photo a couple of months before I finally saw it in store, and my oh my was it an incredible moment when I saw the glittering stars! I always wanted a unique wedding dress, something out of the box, the gown was dreamy and I knew it was the one.”
REFERENCES “I found The Black Chapel on Airbnb and decided to reach out after looking at how truly incredible Eliza’s property is. Eliza from Travel Emporium provided a lot of recommendations and was very warm, she recommended Jewel from The Event Folk which changed my life! Jewel handled most of the coordination/styling/working behind the scenes on our Wedding Day and was an absolute angel.”
MEMORABLE MOMENT “Getting ready with my bridal party and family in the villa was such a peaceful and luxurious way to ease into the day after a champagne breakfast and words of encouragement from those dearest to me. It was so special, some of these moments were so perfectly captured by The Salty Shutter. The moment the ceremony finished and we felt the rush of excitement surge through our bodies and we lift our hands in the air with pure joy. The laughter and the tears during songs which share meaning of memories throughout our relationship.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “The Salty Shutter captured every raw emotion on the day, we can literally look at a photo and feel transported back to that moment in time and it is truly something else. Every single vendor went above and beyond, Jewel from The Event Folk was an actual saving grace, she made sure everything was completely perfect on the day and even came to run through plans the day before, she was on standby for any calls or questions we had, she was just amazing. Luca Luna nailed the flowers I was just in awe of their amazing work. Green Mango Sydney had the most delicious and equally stunning grazing table I have witnessed in my life!
