Picture a rooftop restaurant in Santorini, a beautiful sunset and fresh seafood…not too shabby, eh? This was the exact situation Tanisha found herself in when she was proposed to by now-hubby and all-round top bloke, Brendan. Naturally, she said yes which leads us to the gorge wedding day you are currently perusing. Tanisha donned a darling Made With Love gown for her big day whilst her bridesmaids walked the aisle in Shona Joy, a timeless combo. Scroll down to check out some more captures by talented lens-woman House of Lucie (including some Croc shoeys)…

FAVOURITE DETAILS “I really loved the styling of the ceremony. As we had the set up outside in a tiny green oasis at the back of the Imperial Hotel, it was essentially a blank canvas! The dark greenery behind our arbour really added to the overall look combined with our florals and styling. I also really loved the reception set up. It set the mood for the party, and I loved that we chose to have a cocktail style wedding with big wine barrels, fairy lights and festoon lighting.”

THE DRESS “My dress was from the Made With Love Bridal boutique on the Gold Coast. I went down for the day with my Mum and sisters to go dress shopping. MWL was the second place that I went to look for dresses. I think I tried on about 6 or 7 different dresses there and as soon as I put on The Harlie I just fell in love and instantly knew it was the one I wanted! I never really understood when people would tell me you’ll just know which wedding dress is ‘the one’ because I hadn’t felt that all day after trying on another 6 at the other store as well. That was until I put Harlie on! Just AMAZING!”

LITTLE LOL “When Brendan got down on his knees to take my garter off, he was blindfolded and he didn’t really know where he was going. He ended up head butting me in the mouth (which was hilarious) but he got there in the end! We also had quite a few people on the dance floor doing shoeys… including myself and Brendan! My dad decided to do a shoey out of a croc which was a laugh as his drink obviously went all over him from the holes in the croc!”

FAVOURITE MOMENT “Earlier in the day while we were getting photos, on a dirt road in Eumundi (that Khara had found that day), a lady was walking her dog past us, and after congratulating us she offered us her property to take photographs, in front of the beautiful Mount Cooroy. It was honestly perfect timing and the property was incredible, with a huge sweeping field, picturesque views of the mountain and a small creek trickling through it. It was the perfect afternoon.”

WE’RE GLAD WE…”had a cocktail style wedding. It was quite low-key, there weren’t many formalities and it was just so fun! As I mentioned, we really just wanted one big party! Also, we’re really glad we had the ceremony and the reception in the one place so that no one had to travel between.”
