These two sweet ladies have us smitten, friends, and we are unbelievably pleased to be sharing this divine day with you. You can practically feel the warmth of Kirsten and Cherie’s love through these candid snaps. The fact that both lovely brides were donning Karen Willis Holmes is just one of the many reasons we adore this loved up duo. A few of our faves were in attendance helping pull it all off. Cara of Modern Love Ceremonies took care of the official stuff whilst CloudHerd Film Co. was capturing footage. As for the sweet snaps? Courtesy of our office bud and brewery companion, Scott Surplice Photography. Scroll down to take a peep at his handiwork…

LITTLE LOL “Kirsten is infamous for doing the worm, and her family and friends kept asking us if she was going to do it on the day. I insisted she wouldn’t be doing it in her bridal dress, so we hired a choreographer, arranged personalised letterman jackets, and learned a surprise hip hop dance routine to a mix of Beyonce and Rihanna, just so she could do her famous party trick.”

THE VIBE “Fun! Kirsten calls it “barnyard chic.”

FAVOURITE DETAILS “We loved that the bridal party got to wear things that suited their personalities, body shape and style. We joked it was themed “50 shades of grey” given our only instruction to them was “pick something in grey”. We were super happy with the variety of greys and styles – we even had a jumpsuit in the mix!”

THE DRESS “[Kristen] We separately went shopping with our bridesmaids. It was the first dress I tried on at Karen Willis Holmes after visiting a few bridal stores. They put my dress aside and didn’t let Cherie see it or try it on when she went in a few weeks later.”

“[Cherie] The Karen Willis Holmes store in Alexandria was the first place I went to and I ended up with the first dress of the day. So it was clearly meant to be. Our bridesmaids shared the pics of Kristen’s dress amongst themselves to make sure the two dresses were complimentary and had a similar vibe.”

WE’RE GLAD WE… “It was great getting ready together in the morning (but dressed separately) and I was so glad we did a first look. It was great to calm our nerves and have a moment together before the ceremony. We were so much more relaxed and it meant we could really enjoy the ceremony.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “We loved all of our vendors but especially enjoyed having Cara our celebrant [Modern Love Ceremonies] who was my sister’s celebrant and flew down from Byron Bay to be with us on our special day. Massive shout out to Scott Surplice Photography who made the photoshoot really fun and not at all awkward (which I thought it would be) and CloudHerd Film Co.  for capturing all the content on the day!”
