Karolina and Matt tied the knot after a one-and-a-half year engagement in which the groom earned himself the title ‘Groomzilla’. That’s not something you hear every day, eh? “One of his more memorable moments was when we were suit shopping and he decided to leave the store because he didn’t feel he was getting good enough service haha. He wanted the guy to come out with a measuring tape like in the movies!”, laughs Karolina. Luckily some of our faves were on hand to keep things running smoothly for this groom. Ephemeral Creative were on photos and film, The White Tree on entertainment and EV Hair and Makeup looked after the lovely bride. Scroll down for a heap of happy snaps…

FAVOURITE MOMENTS “Our bridal party also included Sandra (15) and Daniel (7). When my son came to pick me up for the ceremony, his reaction melted my heart. The kids walking down the aisle with me was a very emotional moment for everyone. Sandra created an amazing video that she called “Mum & Dads Love Story through my eyes”.  It was an animated storyboard she hand-sketched of the key moments in our relationship to date.”

LITTLE LOL “The groomsmen had a wild few nights before the wedding. By the time of the big day, one was massively hungover from the night before, another had a split open nose from a drunken fall, and the best man had a black eye from a lounge room wrestling match!”

A WORD OF ADVICE “We would recommend choosing a reception venue that has already delivered the styling/theme you envision, rather than risk trying something completely new. If you are doing a set up the venue hasn’t done before, it is important to be there to guide the process.”

WE’RE GLAD WE “Really glad we spent the money for good photographer and filmography.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “Trent, Jessie and Tim from Ephemeral Creative. This is what we wrote to them after the wedding “So, I simply just don’t know good enough words to describe how absolutely amazing you guys are, from the very first email to the very last mail I just collected from the post office. Everything you did, every email and message you sent us, every chat we had, the way you’ve been during the whole pre-wedding process – everything was amazing and simply perfect! And then the wedding day came where you made us feel so special.” Also, The White Tree. The booking process with Peter was incredibly easy, and they absolutely delivered on the night. Anjali (the lead singer) was fantastic and made the effort to speak personally with us during the night. The band kept the vibe going all night and delivered on all our many random requests! Elina of EV Hair & Makeup was incredibly personal, very friendly, chatty and helpful, she made everything easy, delivered beautiful work, and we are still in touch.”
