Tom figured Paris was an appropriate place to propose (and of course, it was perfect) but upon their return they decided they wanted their wedding to be a little more left of field. Held at Berry School of Arts, almost two hours south of Sydney, Jenna and Tom organised a vintage inspired day loaded with DIY.
“Tom and I spent seven hours the day before our wedding decorating the hall. (Most brides are getting there nails done or going to a spa!) We did all our own flowers, hung the curtain fairy lights ourselves on 12m high ceilings, unloaded the truck with all our (heavy) vintage furniture, laid out candles. We had over 200 vintage dollies used throughout the venue that were hand made by Thomas’s Nona. They were very detailed and absolutely beautiful”, explains Jenna who wanted their wedding to be super low key.
She did however, splash out on a great photographer by way of Mitch Pohl, flowers by South Coast fave Gypsy Flora and a stunning custom made gown. “Dinah created something so beautiful for me and understood exactly what I wanted. I trusted her immediately as soon as I met her. It had lace long sleeves and was completely backless. I would recommend Pearl Button Bridal to anyone. Dinah is so professional and spot on when it comes to design. She is amazing. I actually think of her often.”
Though deep down, Jenna knew everything would work out anyway. “I don’t sweat the small stuff anymore, I feel like there is nothing I can’t handle because I have Tom beside me.”
