Queenstown really put on a show for Han and Court’s elopement, an intimate celebration shared with their parents, a few awesome vendors and THAT picturesque backdrop. Just…wow.

These two told us that they’d initially contemplated some beautiful wedding venues in Oz, but the logistics of wedding planning swayed them towards eloping. Hannah had visited and fallen in love with Queenstown prior, so this swayed them New Zealand’s direction. Then it wasn’t long before a little research landed them right in front of Lost In Love’s thoughtful elopement packages and well, the rest is history. “Now Queenstown has a very special place in both of our hearts and we feel so lucky that it’s only a short flight away for us to visit as often as we would like,” the newlyweds share.

Black & White Wedding Styling With Wintery, Snowy Vibes

“We wanted wintery vibes, some snow but not too much so that it could be seen as being anywhere with snow in the world. The day could not have been more perfect – Moke Lake was clear and sunny, and Cecil Peak had a little bit of snow but not too much, which is what we desperately wanted. We decided on a black and white theme: we both wore white wedding outfits and asked our parents to wear black. We wanted timeless outfits that we could look back on in years to come and for them to have not aged. We changed into Dr. Martens for the helicopter and mountain pictures for a little bit of character that felt much more ‘us.’”

“Honestly everything about our day was our favourite. Our flowers were beyond perfect, they were the most beautiful flowers either of us had ever seen. We allowed Sarah from Flower Room free reign on our design, we just stated we wanted a black and white theme and some daisies/baby’s breath – we trusted Sarah and she beyond delivered! Our wedding cake was an absolute piece of art! Hannah had always dreamed of having a carrot cake wedding cake and my god did Sophie Roseanna Cakes deliver! Our diet for the days after the wedding consisted of mostly cake with zero complaints.”

“Sue (Hannah’s mum) made our vow books, dinner menus and personalised champagne glasses for the six of us – this followed the black and white theme with lots of bows, Hannah’s favourite!”

The Bridal Looks: Shopping Together

“We went together to Hannah’s wedding dress fitting, although a bit unorthodox, we had the best day! We had a booking with Made With Love and met the most amazing stylist Jade. The three of us had the best morning and even jokingly invited her to our wedding. Hannah tried on about five dresses, including the one she thought she wanted which did not suit at all! And finally fell in love with the Grayson dress. Hannah wanted a simple and classy dress, and when she put her dress on, she knew it was the most perfect one. Courtney had her suit tailor-made, and we flew to Sydney to choose the design and have her measurements taken. It was incredibly hard to find a white women’s suit, so this was our only feasible option. We had decided that a 2 piece suit would suit Courtney perfectly and once the adjustments were made to the suit, she was ready for our big day!”

First Looks: Getting Ready Together and Bucking Tradition

“We did a ‘first look’ for our mums. We had gotten ready together that morning at our beautiful Airbnb (again, a little unorthodox!), and when we were ready, we stood there holding hands waiting for our mums to turn around. We both loved the reaction we got – many tears were shed, and it was a real penny-drop moment that this was actually happening. We were getting to spend the rest of our lives with our best friend…”
