It’s not often you hear of the groom discovering his bride-to-be’s wedding gown, but that’s exactly what happened in Anna and Nick’s case.
After taking a trip to Sydney to find her dream dress, Anna and her gals left unsatisfied and dismayed, returning to the land of the long white cloud empty handed. “Living in Wanaka makes it hard as trying on any dresses means hours of travel to bigger towns or cities.” That was of course, until Nick stumbled across a rather gorgeous frock for sale on a Facebook site, “as soon as I showed Anna, her face lit up and she asked me ‘what size? and how much?'” The dress in question was none other than the stunning Zeppelin Gown from NZ label, Rue De Seine, Nick adding, ” this was too good to be true as the size was perfect and the price was even better!”
A pair of keen hunters, Anna and Nick supplied the meat for their buffet (talk about taking DIY to the next level)! As far as favourite details of the day, the duo agreed those crafty caterers at Morsel Kitchen did a pretty epic job preparing and serving the goods, “the amount of positive feedback we received from our guest about the food and how Morsel Kitchen cooked it was truly amazing!”
In memory of a dear friend that passed away earlier this year, Anna and Nick asked his mother to be the celebrant at their wedding. “After losing Tom we knew it was even more special to have Kath (his Mum) as our Celebrant. The girls all grew up with Tom and we knew how excited he was to be a part of our wedding day! We had patches made of tom which the girls ironed on the inside of their denim jackets, right over their hearts!”
When it came to naming their fave vendors of the day, the couple didn’t hesitate “our Photographer Charlotte Kiri and her husband Bruno (2nd Photographer) couldn’t have done a better job if they tried,” said the pair. “Everything they did was perfect and we are so happy with the way the photos turned out!”
