For Lauren and Ana, their engagement, or should we say, engagements, meant the pair could take their time expressing their love, in their own unique ways.
Lauren tells us she built the unsuspecting Ana a pillow fort, “That was where I fell in love with her when we first started dating, under a pillow fort, so I thought it was the perfect place to propose.” Lauren explains that after a year of being engaged, Ana took her turn at proposing, when she surprised Lauren with a trip to their favourite city, New York City.
The pair got cracking on their wedding plans, however at a certain point in their decision making, they realised a traditional do just wasn’t for them. “We are SO happy we eloped. We are two simple girls who just wanted to focus on each other that day,” Lauren adding that a highlight to their day was seeing the spot the couple would say their vows, atop the incredible mountains of Queenstown.
When it came to sorting out the finer details, Lauren and Ana enlisted the talents of one of our fave photographers, ACT based Lauren Campbell, to capture their day along with those clever kids from The Elopement Collective who got the wheels of their elopement really turning.
