Purple is a severely underrated colour, folks, and we have Amber & Daniel’s lush country Victoria wedding to prove it. Opting to host a wild outdoor soiree under the stars, these two had one thing on their mind: good times. With Amber working in the production team of a Digital Marketing agency and Daniel as a project manager for an environmental consulting company, they were both keen to put their organisational skills to the test reeling in vendors from all over Vic. So, do take notes! There was Valerie Caravan Bar slinging drinks, Wendy Does Wedding’s taking care of legalities, Pinkie Promise on blooms and Georgia Verrells behind the lens. The result? FAVOURITE DETAILS “Flowers hands down! Dayne [Pinkie Promise] is so talented. I’ve known her since primary school, so it was an easy pick when looking for florists! We had a whole look picked out from really early on then a couple of months out from the wedding we had a meeting and I said I wasn’t sure about what I had picked. She was so honest and just said she didn’t think it suited me either and came out with all of these amazing ideas. We picked new flowers to use and she didn’t even have reference images of what she wanted to do, she just explained it to me and I trusted her completely. So I was just blown away on the day when I saw what she had done!”
FAVOURITE MOMENT “The ceremony definitely. It was never something we put much thought into, we just wanted the party afterwards! That was until we met with Wendy, our celebrant. She made the formal part of the day the most special part and something we will always cherish! We did a questionnaire about ourselves separately and we only heard each other’s answers on the day, which made it so special. I think a lot of people were crying. The standout was definitely Daniels vows though. We wrote our own and he did such a good job!”
LITTLE LOL “Throughout the whole ceremony my Grandma, who is 88, was giving her thoughts and opinions on everything, trying to talk to everyone up the front. We were just trying not to laugh and trying to block her out so we could listen to Wendy!”
WE’RE GLAD WE “We are both so happy we managed to book someone last minute to bring our pups to the reception after the ceremony (literally the day before). They are both Kelpie x border collies, so they are always full of energy and running around like crazy. Having them there with us and being able to get some photos with them on the day was the best.”
STANDOUT VENDOR “Definitely our photographer Georgia Verrells and videographer Cyan Wolves. They worked so well together and made everyone feel so comfortable. They seriously captured our day perfectly, every little detail was just perfect!”
