Did you know that the first ever wedding cake is thought to date back to Ancient Greece? While some wedding traditions come and go, a good ‘ole cake is here to stay.
Why? Well, duh. It’s cake. It’s delicious. Apart from that, cake making has truly become an edible art form. Long gone are the days of a family friend toting along the traditional fruit cake to your reception (unless that’s your vibe, of course)! We’re talking bespoke floral styling, sculptural textures, hand painted buttercream and personalised cake toppers. Whether you’re a minimalistic couple or love to be a bit more bold, there’s a fun way to express that via – you guessed it… cake.
Now, with so many styles out there, how are you supposed to decide on what you’re after? We’ve done the work for you and rounded up the coolest cake makers to follow on Instagram for a lil’ bit of inspo. If you still can’t make your mind up then be sure to check out our directory where all the best bakers hang out!
