Shot at Tall Trees Tallebudgera, it’s a scrumptious alchemy of playful envelope-pushing elements, classic old-school details and a whooole lotta red. The creative visionary? That would be photographer Her Creative Lens, who told us that, in their opinion, the rich ruby hue is “the perfect blend of romance and boldness”.

Heather (aka Her Creative Lens) is one creative cookie (obviously, *gestures to the killa gallery below*). She has a keen eye for those special organic wedding day moments and is “drawn to elements that stand out [and] push beyond the ordinary wedding or photoshoot.” Reflecting on this day, Heather said, “I wanted the concept to feel dramatic, bold, and with a touch of vintage nostalgia.” Uuuuum mission accomplished!
So much of this shoot is about blending old and new-school elements, so Flossy is a natural fit. You see, this bar cart boasts a nostalgic twist: hand-spun fairy floss reimagined in unique flavours like crème brûlée or salted kaffir lime. Yummy on their own or the perfect accompaniment to your post-ceremony cocktail. Either way, it’s a playful wedding feature your guests won’t quickly forget. “During the shoot, we asked the models if they wanted to try making their own fairy floss,” Christina from Flossy explained. “They nailed it on their first attempt and even began feeding it to each other! It was so cute!”
Okay, we need to talk florals. Our friends Demavi, whom we adore for their super personalised, bespoke approach, brought these bold blooms to life. Tanya (styling/planning/floristry triple threat and founder of Demavi) told us she’d been “busting for the opportunity” to sink her teeth into a rich red theme like this one. “Two different types of red fabric became the layered backdrop with the flowers chosen in two different shades of red,” Tanya explained. “When it was all placed together, it drew the eye in, making you look closer and closer at the subtle changes in red tones and textures. This shoot was bold and risky, and I loved every minute spent creating it.”
The team at Panorama Events LOVE weddings, and with 12+ years in the biz, Creative Director Zoe knows a thing or two about how to throw a good one. Offering planning, styling, coordination and floral design from Brisbane to Byron, they specialise in nuptials that are as stunning as they are stress-free. Taking styling cues from bridal accessories and the venue, Zoe said this one was a “lot of fun” to put together. “For us in particular, we used the red Prada [shoes] to draw inspiration and created a striking yet sexy tablescape to showcase one of our favourite venues.”
This bride’s wow-worthy makeup look is the artistry of Ellen Violet. Whether you’re thinking full-glam or something more understated and natural, Ellen wants to “help you look and feel like the best version of yourself”. Her experience in the beauty world is extensive, spanning 10+ years, so it’s no wonder the perfect look for this shoot came to her “instantly”. “I decided on a glossy red lip paired with a smoked-out wing, combining classic elements with a modern twist. I could tell Heather (Her Creative Lens) was ahead of the curve with this concept, and I was thrilled to be a part of it!”
