We nearly fell off our chairs when we saw these gorgeous photos from Tim Coulson Photography. What a beautiful bride we thought! Throw in a rather dashing groom (and bow tie from MJ Bale) a custom-made wedding gown, a breathtaking location and a baby bump (containing not one but two little humans) and you have yourself one hell of a joyous celebration!
With only 2 months to pull everything together, Joanna and Anthony wanted to keep things simple for their big day “We didn’t want the wedding to be too conventional, we wanted to throw our guests a big party where they could all relax and kick up their heels…. Our family friends kindly offered their amazing home to us for the wedding reception which was so generous of them. When we stopped and took it all in we actually had to pinch ourselves!”
With such a stunning location (the Swift Mansion, built in 1882), Joanna and Anthony kept decorations to a minimum, opting for humble floral arrangements by the ever-so-talented Christine Tapp. “I hired simple raw linen tablecloths from The Hire End and used existing furniture at Swifts. We borrowed an assortment of glass jars from good friends and simply had these with pretty flowers scattered on the tables. We kept it all fairly simple as the venue was so beautiful”
The reception was not the only thing with a chic laidback vibe, Joanna, opting for a simple wreath of flowers in her tussled blonde locks looked effortlessly gorgeous. A short lace dress (especially made for her by Roger Searle of Sass & Bide fame) was created to show off the soon-to-be family members.
Photographer Tim Coulson is such a beautiful story teller, we highly recommend you check out the rest of this gorgeous wedding on his website. The getting ready photos are our faves… The girls are relaxed and ready to go, whilst in contrast, the boys struggle to find matching socks in the laundry basket and wonder how to tie a bow tie. What did we tell you… too sweet for words!
