Hands up if you woke up this morning and thought, “It’s a damn good day for checking out some incredible bridal gowns.” Yep, us too! It’s from our friends over at Grace Loves Lace and if you know us at all, you’ll know we’re just a teensy bit obsessed with… well… everything they do, tbh.
Today we’re taking a deep dive into their latest and much-anticipated 21/22 mainline collection, Coco Loco – and, guys, at the risk of stating the obvious, we truly have gone totally loco for these epic pieces. Featuring eight signature gowns – all gorgeous (duh) – and two stunning veils, plus new earrings (from $100 – hello, affordable statement jewellery!) and headbands (from $90) to complete your big-day look, the game-changing Coco Loco collection was created for all women, explains Grace Loves Lace Founder and Creative Director Megan Ziems.
“Since I founded GRACE 10 years ago, I’ve spent years watching women in their dress appointment being torn between the classic, sophisticated gown and the fun, sexy gown,” she explains. “I thought to myself, ‘What if the dress could represent all sides of our personality? The fun and the serious, the sexy and the conservative, the adventurous and the classic, the soft and the bold, the calm and the crazy.’ And so, that’s exactly what Coco Loco does.”
And folks, we could not be happier about this revelation, because the resulting collection of sleek silhouettes and dreamy designs (which range in price from $2300 to $4400 AUD) could not be more perfect. Don’t even get us started on the hand-draped silk and pearl hand droplets – oh and there’s all-new lace too, of course, exclusive to the Australian brand. Dubbed ‘Mirror Lace’, this is a fabric like no other, its intricate geometric shapes giving the illusion of beading minus the heaviness of a beaded gown. That’s a big tick from us, from the minute you walk down the aisle to those late-night spins around the d-floor.
But what we really can’t get enough of is that every one of the heavenly Coco Loco gowns has been created with all women in mind, of all moods and all styles, and from all walks of life. “This collection is all about being true to ourselves, true to embracing life and all the complexities that come with it,” says Ziems. “We know that our brides are ready to have fun and we want to make them feel extra beautiful whilst doing it, in the truest way possible.”
