After meeting on “good ol’ Hinge”, Revathi, a vet, and Tim, a biomedical engineer, knew pretty quickly they’d found something special – and their wedding day reflected exactly that. Intimate, stylish and deeply personal, the pair tied the knot at none other than Rupert on Rupert – the first (and only!) venue they visited. The iconic Collingwood space also ended up being one of the couple’s fave details from their day, as well as the i.n.c.r.e.d.i.b.l.e styling and stationery, courtesy of Cloth and Confetti, and the good vibes celebrant Precious Celebrations brought to the party (as she always does!).
From the start, Revathi knew she wanted to wear a saree — something that honoured her Indian heritage while still feeling effortlessly modern. Enter ByElora, who worked closely with the bride to create a piece that felt entirely her own, which she paired with bling by Michael Hill Jewellers.
Photographed by the ever-talented Elsa Campbell, every joy-filled moment was captured with her signature warmth and editorial edge — including a sunset stroll through the backstreets of Collingwood, where the newlyweds whispered about arancini and soaked up the just-married magic.

THE VENUE
“Rupert on Rupert was the first (and only!) venue we visited. We absolutely fell in love with the indoor setting, and felt it would be the best place for a small, intimate wedding.”
THE DRESS
“My heart was set on wearing a saree for my intimate wedding, but I also wanted it to have an effortless feel. That’s when ByElora caught my eye on Instagram. Discovering they have bases in Melbourne and Sydney was a major plus, making all our communication, design consultations, and fittings so much more straightforward. The process itself was remarkably easy.”
STANDOUT VENDORS
“Everyone was fantastic. Our celebrant Precious Celebrations brought the perfect vibe we were after and kept us relaxed. Rupert on Rupert looked after everyone really well. Our photographer Elsa Campbell kept us having fun and captured a lot of great moments. And the band (Hey Jack) finished off the night on a huge high.”
A WORD OF ADVICE
“Leaving a lot of the work to vendors is a good way to manage stress levels if it is something you can afford. Having vendors that have worked together at the venue before helps build trust that the day is going to run smoothly and that everyone is going to have a great time.”
A TOUCH OF TRADITION
“We wanted a wedding which paid homage to my Indian background, but also celebrated the union of two people, brought up in different parts of the world, falling in love.”
MEMORABLE MOMENT
“Walking around the streets of Collingwood for our sunset photos with Elsa! It was so romantic and absolutely surreal! We were whispering about the arancini balls waiting for us at the reception, abd how we are finally married.”
