This loved-up pair found each other on a night out four years ago. “Adam asked me out for a drink,” explains the bride. “I initially said no, but remembered my New Years resolution, which was to accept an invitation for a date from anyone brave enough to ask!” Clearly a good decision, two years later, they were engaged and the rest, as they say, is history. Thanks to our friend and HM directory vendor, I Got You Babe Weddings, we have all the pics, which you’ll find below. Along with all the details from the couple, of course…

THE VENUE “We only visited one other venue before choosing Encore St Kilda Beach. It was in a great location and provided the perfect setting and ambience for our wedding. We had also heard wonderful things about their food and service.”

FAVOURITE DETAILS “The florals from Lulu Bird. We had three large floral installations over the middle table which was so lush and gorgeous. They had fairy lights entwined in them and just lit the room up and provided the romance! The cake and donut table: Not only did the table look amazing, but the cakes and donuts were delicious. We opened up the table after entree and everything was gone before main course. The music: We had La Rumba serenade guests on arrival with their Spanish and Flamenco tunes. Motown, French and Italian songs played over dinner and RnB had our guests on the dance floor all night!”

DIY “Adam has a passion for soccer, and loved the idea of having a wedding ‘match day programme’. We incorporated soccer themes to give our guests more of an insight into our relationship and families. Our guests loved it and it was a great way to keep them entertained at the church while they waited for the ceremony to start. We also decided to have spot prizes at the wedding, which turned out to be hilarious. Our guests loved winning random prizes such as a leg of prosciutto- Adam chose that one!”

THE DRESS “I came across Silvana Tedesco’s amazing dresses on Instagram pretty early on into our engagement. I was in love with the Giselle top as soon I tried it on. Silvana added some polka dot lace to the design for me along with a beautiful skirt to match.”

REFERENCESInstagram and Hello May were amazing for inspiration and finding vendors. Everyone was just so fabulous, kind and put a lot of love into our wedding. We honestly had the best day and night and we couldn’t be more thankful.”

A WORD OF ADVICE “I think the best advice is to get as much of the planning done as early as possible, so you can leave yourself plenty of time for the last little fiddly items. It’s also an amazing feeling to get to the last week knowing that everything is done, so you can just get excited!”
