When Billy prompted Tessa to close her eyes, she was a bit hesitant – expecting that he might lock her out in the rain. However, when she finally opened, it was to a custom-made pair of Nike ID’s she’d dreamt up years before.
“Billy told me to turn them around and on the back they said ‘WILL U’ and ‘MRY ME’… I burst into tear (partially out of excitement for my custom sneakers) then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him,” says Tessa, who knew exactly what kind of dress she wanted as soon as she saw the shoes.
“It had to be sequin, silver and long sleeved. I did the right thing and tried on lots of different styles just to make sure (more to keep the mums happy), but I knew One Day Bridal would be making it. I went to my beautiful friend Kyha and showed her a few pictures of what I wanted – five minutes later, the girls had sketched my dress and we had even picked the fabric.”
Captured by Enchanted Wedding Photography, Tessa and Billy’s day was filled with amazing vendors such as Paella Pan, Posy Robes and Time Out Adventures & Entertainment – making for one heck of a day – which Tessa tells us was really just about making their ‘little family’ official.
“When I say family, I mean Billy, myself, our two dogs, horse and any other animals I manage to adopt. The only difference would be that we both have some new bling on our fingers and I now have a Greek last name that I have to practice a hundred time before saying out loud.”
