The first thing you might notice when looking at these delightful images by Tealily Photography is the abundance of stunning pink dahlias, but what we’d like to quickly draw your attention to is this – one pretty awesome wedding invite which set the tone for what was a unforgettable, enchanted forest wedding. Held at Paperbark Camp in Jervis Bay, New South Wales. Tammy and Yosuke transformed this luxury retreat into something truly magical. A task that at times, wasn’t always easy. “Ten days before the wedding and we still weren’t sold on any style for the ceremony backdrop”, says Yosuke. “So we drove to our local Bunnings to look for ideas. On the way, Tam saw a “prefectly” arched gumtree branch that had been thrown out for collection… til the day of the wedding we still weren’t quite sure whether it would work, but it did thankfully!”
Within four months, Tammy found couture dressmaker Yulia Mc to create her gorgeous ivory silk satin and lace tulle dress, left her long term job as an industrial designer and planned a relocation to Hong Kong. As well she managed to book one of our all time favourite hair and makeup artists, Liv Lundelius, whose work you can also see in issue 5 of Hello May, one sale now!
Meanwhile Yosuke helped in any way he could. Organising a beautiful, wooden swing, desserts by Sweet Blooms Cakes and a DJ that had people breakdancing in no time. There was even forest themed gum!
