When questioned on how long this lovely couple have been together, their answer solidified how much we already liked them… “After a few youthful break ups and a couple of forgotten anniversaries we like to round it out to seven years. We wont be missing an anniversary again now!” Too true guys! A few of our fave vendors also worked on this wedding, Pia + Jade on florals and on the pics, Blaise Bell, which added to our excitement, so scroll down for all…

THE VENUE “After a few disappointing inspections that felt slightly transactional we stumbled across Terrara House. We got a last-minute visit in and were greeted with a hug. It may sound silly but the welcome was so warm and having the owner’s family there was the exact warmth we were looking for in a venue. Not to mention the house and in particular grounds are absolutely breathtaking. It was such an easy decision from there.”

THE INSPO “Classic, crisp and elegant were the three words we kept coming back to for the day. Timeless elegance that would transcend decades but staying true to us as a couple. With that, a monochromatic theme emerged (black and white) which tied in well with the Black Tie dress code. A classic country soiree…”

LITTLE LOL “Sam’s sister, Rivka, was our celebrant, which made the day so incredibly personal and she organised a surprise flash mob at the end of the ceremony. Our fathers stood up and started the singing to ‘Say a little Prayer’, then friends waltzed down the aisle in chorus and before you knew it, everyone was singing along and laughing. Little did we know rehearsals had happened behind the scenes ahead of the day!”

FAVE DETAILS “The cake by Willow Hill Cakes. Not only was it incredibly beautiful and delicious, but we did the cake cutting right after the ceremony. Using it instead as a sweet canapé that everyone remembers eating. It worked an absolute TREAT.”

REFERENCESHello May! I was gifted the magazine when we first got engaged which is such a great place to read other real weddings for inspiration.”

MARRIAGE MEANS… “A statement that resonates so strongly with us both is ‘the person you marry today, will not be the same person in years to come, so grow and change together.’ For Sam this is trying to finally get a par on a golf course, whilst for me, I just desperately want him to learn what a washing basket is.”

A WORD OF ADVICE “Plan. Plan, plan, plan then let go. Invest the time little by little in the lead up, then have trust and faith in your vendors to execute. Sam is screaming at me to include a tip for the blokes so… Agree to discuss the wedding only on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday. This way not everyday is about the wedding and it gives you a mental break as well! Also, weddings are expensive but just cop it on the chin. It’s the best party you’ll ever have and well worth it!”

STANDOUT VENDORSBlaise Bell Photography really deserves a call out, he truly captured absolute magic in the most organic way. Additionally, Annabelle from White Top Venues was absolutely incredible in making the day run so seamless. Finally DJ Rich Penny, the man knows his way around a deck.”

Still on the hunt for your photographer? We can personally say Blaise Bell is a dream dude to work with, so check out more of his photography work over on our Directory here and phenom floristry by Pia + Jade here. But first…
