After seven years together and a hefty three-year engagement, long-time lovers Raicheal and Josh decided to tie the knot with a ‘traditional wedding’ with a twist. Raicheal made her way down the aisle in a super spesh Grace Loves Lace number before committing to forever with her very best friend. So much goodness! THE VENUE “I always wanted to get married in the Southern Highlands. I thought it was so beautiful down there and we already had a place in mind, however, one day I was on facebook and Boxgrove came up. I got in contact with the owners that day to book an appointment to go and have a look at the venue and we just fell in love and booked our wedding on the spot.”
FAVOURITE DETAILS “One of the things I will always remember is how perfect my flowers were. I have never been one to be really into flowers. I knew what I wanted to some degree but what the florist put together blew my mind. The ceremony arch was my favourite, she [Florabundance Floral] did an amazing job. From the ceremony to the reception everything just linked so well and everyone still comments on the great job she did. I went with a theme of natural colours with native flowers and it was just perfect. I left all my trust with her as she is the florist and knows what she is doing and it was just the best.”
LITTLE LOL “Our photographer [Third Wheelin’ Co] was a legend and on the day of the wedding, he went for a drive to find a great location for photos in the morning. The location was on top of a hill, on private property, and about a 5-minute drive away from the wedding venue. We had to borrow a ladder from our wedding venue. In my wedding dress and high heels, I had to climb the ladder which was over a barbed wire fence and then walk up a hill. The photos were amazing though!”
THE DRESS “When looking for a dress, I was after something comfortable and lightweight. I fell in love with a dress from Grace Loves Lace before I was even engaged. As the GGL showroom is in Queensland and I live in Sydney, I thought I should look in Sydney first with my bridesmaids before I committed to going to Queensland. I booked an appointment and I found a dress that I really liked. My mum and bridesmaids also loved it and they thought it was the one. However, It was just a little too heavy for me and I had the one from GGL in mind. I booked an appointment with GGL, tried the dress on (that I always said was the one) and it was just perfect and I purchased it. It was a great fit, comfortable, different to every dress I have seen before and very lightweight. I’d love to wear it again.”
STANDOUT VENDORS “Our Photographer, Third Wheelin’ Co was legendary and felt like one of our guests with a camera. He went above and beyond what we ever expected. He captured some amazing moments that just blew our minds when we received the photos. Our celebrant Pamela Noel also did an amazing job. It was quite a windy day and the ceremony was on a bit of a hill under a tree which made her job 10 times harder with the paperwork but she kept going like the professional she is. Bevs Catering did an amazing job, from the antipasto plate to the dinner, dessert and the wedding cake. Everything was just amazing. The people that run the venue Boxgrove we cannot thank enough for how amazing and helpful they were from the day we booked until the day after the wedding when we were leaving. They make you feel at home, they take all the stress away and they think of the little things that just make the day run smoothly. Lastly, our band Ben Fox Band. They were just amazing. Lauren and Ben were a Duo up to our first dance and then Ben turned into a DJ. I could not recommend both enough, they learnt all the songs that we asked and had great voices.”
