We are proud as punch to be able to share these stunning images by South Coast wedding photographer and all round nice guys, Mitch Pohl, with you today!
Mitch tells us that on the day of the shoot himself, along with Po + Dan “huddled around a table at a local cafe looking at the weather and the Rural Fire Service app to see if this shoot could even be possible. The location we had in mind was so close to those terrible fires we just had and it looked like it was pretty bad. We decided to take the trek anyway, driving there we passed several fire engines and ambulance. We just all kind of looked at one an another and was like “Should we?” We got in contact with the owner of the property we were shooting at and he said everything was fine and his land was still as beautiful as i had seen in pictures.”
So the music got turned up and Mitch, Po and Dan continued on their merry way. Mitch goes on to tell us “arriving at this property we were so amazed. We had that soft orange/smokey light coming through the trees which gave me the perfect pockets of gold to shoot. Po + Dan have such a beautiful connection with one another and i found it so easy to photograph them.”
“We packed up camp and thought we would head back, but then we came across these burnt trees on the side of the road that i couldn’t resist, I thought this could be the perfect time for Dan to get out his guitar, strum a few tunes, almost imagine that it was only Po + Dan at that very time.”
We look forward to sharing Po + Dan’s wedding with you real soon folks, in the mean time head on over to Mitch’s Facebook page and give him an enthusiastic thumbs up for his most impressive work behind the lens!
