If this wedding doesn’t inspire you, folks, we don’t know what will! The location (I mean, come on- that teepee on the black beach- INSANE), that stunning Rue De Seine gown, next level florals (by the bride’s neighbour, no less) and the talented Bonnie Jenkins there to capture it all. Don’t miss the dessert table and the flower girl and if the weather isn’t great on your wedding day, don’t loose hope. “In what was possibly the wettest wedding I had ever photographed, they had so much fun and laughed their way through,” says Bonnie. “Pip told me it was one of their favourite parts of the day!” It certainly made for good pics, guys…

LITTLE LOL It was the most beautiful, still and calm day, but there was a cold front due at 3pm- the exact time of our ceremony. As Dad and I left for the venue, the wind hit really hard, I could see our guests grabbing flowers, rugs and bench seats and moving to a more sheltered area. Every single person helped, from somebody going to a building site across the road to get an extension cord for the music at the new ceremony area (thanks Jimi!) to flower rearranging, everyone chipped in!”

THE THEME “We had a natural, relaxed, moody, boho-inspired vibe. Minimalistic and not overdone, loads of greenery, Toi Toi grasses and flower arrangements, candles and festoon lighting, a delicious feast, big dessert table laden with goodies… I worked with Chloe from Bonnie Jenkins regarding my vision/styling and she aced it. I was so stoked with everything.”

THE DRESSI loved my gown. It was very boho and a bit different from the traditional gown, but I fell in love with the lace and the detail. It was a Rue De Seine gown from Paperswan Bride. The local seamstress made some adjustments and I felt so comfortable in it.”

MEMORABLE MOMENTWalking down the aisle with my Dad. I have too many friends that don’t have their fathers around any more. Life can be cruel and cut short for so many. I truly cherished this day to walk down the isle with my Dad.”

A WORD OF ADVICEEnjoy every moment of your day. Don’t stress about weather and rain. You can’t do anything, so just embrace and love it. It was absolutely pouring down with rain and we had so much fun with our photographer.”

STANDOUT VENDORSMy hairdresser, neighbour and Wonder Woman, Andrea Prince. She did my hair in the morning, whipped up stunning flower arrangments the night before, and set up the morning of the wedding as well. And she had to fly to the North Island early the next day. She went above and beyond.”
