We can all learn a thing or two from this divine duo, that’s for sure! Nicola and Max did the hard yards when it came to researching prospective vendors, choosing to support small biz, local makers and sustainable practices. Particularly stoked with their florist and stylist Biophilia Blooms, who only sources seasonal flowers, the couple also lucked out with Baker Boys Band and Samantha Heather Photography. To top it off, Nicole nabbed her chic Georgia Young Couture gown from one of our fave bridal boutiques, Love Marie Bridal Boutique. So, best tune in because these guys did their research. FAVOURITE DETAILS “The way Josie [Biophilia Blooms] put our ideas for the styling/florals into real-life blew me away on the day. It’s always nerve-wracking wondering if the room will look the way you imagine it when you walk in but she went above and beyond.”

THE DRESS “My dress was by Georgia Young, a Melbourne based designer, that I discovered through the amazing Amy at Love Marie Bridal Boutique in Camden. I had been trying on a few different pieces and came to see Amy to look at her great collection of designers. I was umming and ahhing about a dress I had tried on when Amy actually suggested I come back in a few weeks and try on a sample gown she was getting from Georgia Young. This ended up being the dress I fell in love with – The Carnegie gown. Mum started crying as soon as she saw it, and I thought Max would love it also.”

FAVOURITE MOMENT “Every moment is my favourite. When I came down the aisle, Max was a blubbering mess at the alter and it instantly made me calm. In a weird way, I just wanted to get down that aisle to him and make sure he was okay.”

LITTLE LOL “Max’s dad Bruce drunkenly trying to cut in on the dance floor during my father-daughter dance got a laugh.”

A WORD OF ADVICE “Less is more. Ask yourself if what you’re potentially stressing over or spending lots of money on is make or break on the day. People remember the food and drink – spend good money on that!”

STANDOUT VENDORS “Josie Marc of Biophilia Blooms was a godsend. She will forever hold a special place in my heart for turning our ideas into reality. She blew us away with her kindness. Samantha, Ivan and Tatiana are three beautiful souls that will have a long and successful career in this industry. They understand and ‘get’ what a couple wants on their day. They aren’t intrusive, they have a laugh, and in no way add any pressure. Everyone was an absolute dream to work with.”
