This low key duo had five guests at their elopement, asked their wedding party to wear clothes they already had, and “Zoomed in our parents and siblings,” with the plan to “share photos and videos with everyone else over celebratory dinners.” What a way to do it, eh? “We wanted to get married this year and with family and friends all over the world we weren’t sure with Covid when we’d all next be together.” The talented lens lady, Sarah Godenzi Photography documented the day and you can see it all below, plus our chat with the happy couple…
THE VENUE “Our photographer suggested it and sent us some beautiful photos which made us fall in love with the location. Due to COVID, we actually couldn’t go and see it beforehand because of the 25km limit in Victoria.”
THE THEME “Boho, relaxed vibe.”
FAVE DETAILS “Our flowers [by Botanics of Melbourne] were incredible. We gave a pretty basic brief to our florist and what he ended up doing blew us away. The colour scheme was on point and included a wide range of flowers. We also love our rug from Salty Aura and feel it completed the ceremony and added to our boho vibe.”
THE DRESS “My dress is not a traditional wedding dress. I did not want a traditional dress as that is just not me. I found this Runaway Goddess dress online after weeks of searching and it arrived the day before the wedding and was perfect! Definite boho vibes.”
MEMORABLE MOMENT “Getting ready together. We did not go with traditional in any way and getting ready together was the best decision we made. We wanted the day to be super relaxed and easy going and about us. Getting ready together, sharing a few glasses of champagne and having a laugh meant we were relaxed and not nervous at all.”
