Here at HM, we love a couple who stick to their guns and back their own decisions, and that’s exactly what today’s couple, Liz and David, are all about. Cute as a button short gown? Check! Urban vibes? Check! Simple blooms? Check, check, check! All this and more is awaiting you just below, sweet snaps courtesy of Be Here Be Now Photos & Film. Take a scroll for the details on their doozy of a day…
FAVOURITE DETAILS “We had Up to No Gouda put together mini cheese/grazing boxes for later in the night, which guests loved. The girls were so easy to work with and the grazing packs were huge hits with the guests, with each one being slightly different (we had about 30 of them!).”
FAVOURITE MOMENT “In Jewish weddings, there is a special ceremony before the wedding ceremony where the bride and groom see each other for the first time (The Bedeken). David and I hadn’t seen each other for five days before our wedding day. David, and his parents, came to where I was getting ready. I had my parents and bridesmaids with me and our Rabbi, so it was a very intimate setting. I’ll never forget the feeling of seeing him, and the look on his face when he saw me for the first time. The most fun part of the whole day was definitely the Horas. The Hora is a set of dancing done at the beginning of Jewish weddings and the best way to start a party. I remember looking across and seeing David flying through the air, and at one point we were both hoisted up on chairs with all of our guests singing and dancing along. It was the best way to start the reception, everyone was so pumped and excited to party with us.”
LITTLE LOL “Before we ran out to kick off the Horas, David was so nervous about how energetic it was going to be that he put on an ankle brace!”
WE’RE GLAD WE “We were really glad we had a videographer to capture everything. It is really special to be able to watch the day at different angles and hear all the speeches again. Faz [Iconic Pictures] did an amazing job.”
STANDOUT VENDORS “Our photographers [Be Here Be Now Photos & Film] were the most special souls. Not only are they incredibly talented, but they also went above and beyond to bond with our families on the day and make them comfortable too. They are incredible people and we loved spending our day with them. I also loved working with Clare Vyverberg, she is such an incredible makeup artist and did an amazing job for us all. I get nervous about wearing too much makeup, but she made me feel like a million bucks.”
