We often hear the saying ‘leave it to the pros’ when it comes to wedding planning. It’s a daunting task you know! But as the founder of Sydney’s Audrey & Angus Weddings and Events, Lauren accepted and conquered the DIY challenge admirably. “It was tricky to now be the bride and narrow down how I saw ‘my wedding day’ from all of the diversely beautiful weddings I have had the privilege to be part of,” says Lauren, who along with her fiancû?, Brent, drew inspiration from the surroundings of their venue .
Held at Currawong Flat and Audley Dancehall at the Royal National Park, the location and colours of the bush influenced the natural, simplistic style. Captured by Mark & Kara Photography, the celebration featured stunning greenery and florals by Widler Floral Design and the best damn croquembouche tower we’ve ever seen thanks to Baked Patisserie.
Going for a classic look, Lauren wore a short, Audrey Hepburn style gown by Wendy Makin Couture while beauty fairies Make Up By Megan and Melissa Cauchi Hairdressing dolled up the beautiful bride – who almost didn’t get her ring, stored inside a box from From The Owl. “Our cheeky ring bearer decided to over arm throw the ring box at his Uncle Brent luckily Brent was quick enough to catch the box or it may have ended up in the river behind.” Talk about avoiding a catastrophe…
