Rocking up for a job interview one January, Krystel got a smidge more than she bargained for. Whilst she passed on the job, she did snag Luke! But it’s not just the love story that has us smitten here, readers. These two tied the knot in a nursery, had a dress code of “fabulous” and partied the night away in their fave nightclub. THE VENUE “We had everything set for the wedding, ceremony venue, flowers, outfits, etc. the only thing missing was a venue for the reception. We had exhausted Luke’s connections, looked through every venue website known to man, and were still coming up with nothing. One day as we were driving into work, we were laughing at the idea of possibly having it where we first met thinking “Who has their wedding reception at a nightclub?”Luke then stopped, looked at me and said, “Us..?”
REFERENCES “As Luke was in the hospitality industry we used a lot of his connections. He organised the reception, beverages, catering, entertainment, sound hire, etc. I was looking at all the Hello May magazines and Instagram posts religiously.”
FAVOURITE MOMENT “My favourite moment was dancing with Luke alone on the rooftop car park, in the middle of Melbourne CBD, and just taking in the moment, realising we really did it, we just got married. We were running so terribly late for the reception but we didn’t care.”
LITTLE LOL “We told the photographers a couple of days before how much I rely on chocolate to keep me going so they said they will take care of it. True to form, when we started to get a little tired and over it, they brought out two massive bags of it!
A WORD OF ADVICE “Let the professionals do what they do best. We simply told them what was important to us and let them do the rest. It saved us so much added stress and we were 100% happy with the outcome.”
STANDOUT VENDORS “Corinna & Dylan and the videographers were 110% the best people at the wedding. We just followed their lead and ran with it. They seriously made the day so much fun and so easy. Would definitely have been a different story if we had gone with someone else.”
