Tune in, folks, because Kristy and Scott’s legendary wedding quite literally stopped Melbourne and we think you better take a squiz! Seven-piece jazz band in tow, these guys and their entire wedding party tramped down Little Bourke Street, parade-style, and the pics are proof that good times were abundant. Kristy swanned about in her Georgia Young Couture gown, adorned in Amelie George Bridal accessories whilst Madeline Kate did her groovy thang behind the lens. Want proof? Scroll down for the details…

FAVOURITE DETAILS “I know it sounds silly but our #oncloudkav – It was original and simple enough that people actually used it and posted so we have lots of photos and videos saved that our guests and vendors took on the day.”

THE DRESS “I did a bit of research beforehand and picked to visit the dress designers who made styles that I thought would suit my body shape. When I tried on THE dress at Georgia Young I knew straight away, it was like it was made for me. It was in Georgia’s new collection and so she hadn’t sold the dress yet to anyone and it was nice to think I would be the first bride to wear it. The laser-cut lace of the dress is very modern and nothing like we had ever seen before. Coincidently, it also had a family connection with the lace coming from Amsterdam and my family being Dutch. Oh, and it had pockets!”

FAVOURITE MOMENT “Having Horns of Leroy as part of our surprise bridal party arrival at Longsong and walking our entire wedding party down Little Bourke Street was something we, and our guests, will never forget!”

LITTLE LOL “Our MC’s (my cousins) were hilarious! They managed to look up the archives of our Facebook posts for the last 10 years and compare what we were doing at the same time and date when we weren’t yet together as a couple. Let’s just say Facebook posts 10 years ago were so cringe-worthy, they had our friends and family in tears of laughter. It was such a great idea!”

A WORD OF ADVICE “Have some surprises as part of the day, your guests will love it and it really gets everyone excited and keeps the mood lifted.”

STANDOUT VENDORS “We clicked with Maddie [Madeline Kate], our photographer, straight away. She got our sense of fun and understood that the day was not only about the love we shared but our families and friends and everyone having a great time. She lived that with us on the day and captured such candid, beautiful photos.”
