THE VENUE “We decided on the venue because we were engaged in Tasmania and wanted to return to its beauty to celebrate the wedding. Glen Albyn Estate was the first place we went to see and we fell in love with the setting as soon as we saw it. Bernedette does everything – she owns the venue and provides anything and everything you want. She was a lifesaver and made it so much easier.”
FAVE DETAILS “I was blown away by the flowers by Bernedette. The details in our bouquets were unbelievable and our table settings were just stunning. The food was absolutely amazing. Tony Mak Music and his band completely understood the vibe we were after regarding music and everyone danced the whole night. He played my favourite pub classics with covers of modern songs to dance too.”
THE DRESS “I have always been obsessed with Berta. I had a day of dress shopping and Brides of Francesca was first on the list. I always wanted a big princess dress, but when I finally tried that style on I realised it wasn’t me and was surprised when I put on my dress. How I fell in love with it was so different, which is exactly why I loved it.”
A WORD OF ADVICE “Have a planner. Bernadette took care of every detail and organised items we didn’t even think about or need to think about. It prevented stress that is definitely unwanted in the lead-up. [Also] live music is the best, everyone was up dancing all night. It really created the best atmosphere.”
STANDOUT VENDORS “Janneke Storm was so amazing she made such an effort. Janneke offered to come to the rehearsal the day before to look at the venue and find some cool locations to shoot which I was blown away by and felt that was so nice of her to do. Mitch Hickman Films, our videographer, was awesome. He really got all the little details which you forget about until you watch your video. Both Mitch and Janneke made us feel so comfortable on the day. Maria Bond, our celebrant, was so unreal. We absolutely loved her – she made me so calm on the day and guided us through perfectly. Tony Mak Music – he nailed it – and Bernadette from Glen Albyn Estate was a dream.”
