THE VIBE “A relaxed, intimate backyard garden party wedding. The style direction was ‘moody and completely romantic with a Mediterranean influence’ to honour mine and Anth’s heritages. We wanted it to feel abundant with rich, warm tones and lots of blooms.”
FAVOURITE DETAILS “The transformation of our backyard! I had no doubt in my mind that Styled By Her would do an amazing job. She blew our minds and the minds of all our guests who are still talking about our wedding. Corey had a blank canvas to work with and brought in EVERYTHING – layers upon layers of furniture, foliage and flowers (which were out of this world beautiful!), right down to the olive branches, rugs, vases, lighting and every piece of gorgeous glassware. Our backyard turned into a magical fairytale and I will never forget the feeling of abundance and romance. It was a dream come true.”
FAVOURITE MOMENT “I was 11 weeks pregnant on our wedding day and we managed to keep it a secret from our family until that day. I collaborated with our photographer to gather our family before the wedding and make the special announcement. It was a moment we’ll never forget – the surprise, reactions and joy have been captured forever. Also, Anth’s aunties were our flower girls and had a ball with their responsibility, as did my nephew who was a groomsman.”
WE’RE GLAD WE… “We loved making the decision to not leave the house all day, not even to get ready or for photographs, which meant we could spend the whole time together, surrounded by our loved ones. We are also glad that by having it at home we could source our own booze. It was a really cost-effective thing to do and we got to keep the leftovers! There are some special bottles of champagne set aside that I couldn’t enjoy on the day (being pregnant), so I’m looking forward to celebrating with glasses of our wedding bubbles once baby is here.”

When it came to going above and beyond, our celebrant Lena [Loving Love], photographer Dane [The Salty Shutter] and wedding stylist Corey [Styled By Her] will forever be in my heart. They really made the planning and execution the most delightful and personal experience. They really honoured our story and wishes and were exceptional at executing their respective skills.”
