In true, adorable, 11-year romance fashion, Jamie proposed to Jess whilst the couple were out camping. The sun was setting, the couple’s pup Bear had a ring tied to his neck and well…she said yes! THE VENUE “I had always dreamed of a balmy outdoor wedding, an Indian style marquee & loads of fairy lights under the stars. We had seen one other venue before Wallalong but as soon as we arrived here we knew this was the place.”
DIY “Apart from the planning, the styling was probably the one thing that I was adamant I wanted to do myself. It’s what I love doing and I had so much fun with it. It was great to be able to spend the day before the wedding on the property with our bridal party and taking time with all the little things.”
FAVOURITE MOMENT “The ceremony! Our vows, walking out the door and down the aisle. It was a such a hot day and as soon as I walked out the door and down the front steps with my dad, the softest raindrops fell and stopped just as we made it to Jamie at the end. It was the most magical feeling and to have everyone you love there to witness something so special…I get goosebumps just thinking about it! I wish we could re-live it all again!”
WE’RE GLAD WE… “In the planning stages, it was quite scary thinking about all the costs. However, now that it has been and gone, we are so glad we did everything we wanted to do. It was the best day of our lives and we wouldn’t change a thing! Post-wedding, we are really glad that we planned a honeymoon and we flew out to Africa within a few days of the wedding. After such a busy 13 months it was so lovely to just take time out and enjoy each other.”
STANDOUT VENDORS “We feel so blessed to have had such amazing, talented people working with us for our wedding, it definitely helped make the day so special. One person, in particular, we are so grateful for is Barefoot and Bearded. His work is magic. Not only did he capture the day better than we could have imaged he was also such a legend to have around. We had so much fun, he calmed us down when we needed it, he even tied the guy’s ties and untangled my jewellery. He really just felt like one of our good friends.”
