This elopement is something super duper spesh, guys. Jade and Jay literally leapt into a helicopter and got married on the top of a 4000 ft mountain. An A for effort in our books. FAVE DETAILS “My flowers, I grew up on the beach so I wanted my bouquet to represent that and Crimson Wedding Flowers did exactly that – they were beautiful.”
THE DRESS & THE SUIT “The dress was not at all what I thought I wanted, but when I tried it on I fell in love. As for Jay, he said ‘who wouldn’t want to get married in a velvet jacket?’”
MEMORABLE MOMENTS “Waking up in the morning just the two of us, having a cuppa in bed before and taking ourselves out for breakfast was perfect, it was calm, the weather was beautiful and everything felt right. When we were both on the ridgeline having our pictures taken. The lake looked like a mirror, the sun was setting over the mountains, and I was in heeled boots! At one point Jay even laughed and told me to ‘hang on babe you have goat poo on your dress’- which he followed by flicking off haha. Being in nature just us being authentic and raw was everything.”
MARRIAGE MEANS “Jay says ‘a lifetime of service’… Haha – he’s not wrong!”
A WORD OF ADVICE “Do what makes you happy, even if it means upsetting others. The day is about the two of you and the love you have for each other, everyone will always have an opinion but don’t do something just to make someone else happy.”
WE’RE GLAD WE… “Planned to have your portraits taken in the golden hour (as the sun is going down). This was a recommendation by Kate Alexandra and we are so glad we changed the time.”
